WHY I AM GOING TO NEW YORK. The reason may shock you. It is not the kind of reason I normally have for going to a city with our tent. But there is a very strong case for the reason I am going to give you.
Why am I going to New York? I am going to New York because I am angry. There! I said it. In fact, I am writing this message out of anger.
Guess what? There is nothing wrong with writing out of anger—if it is godly anger.
Anger has a wonderful place in the life of a warrior. I know it has a place with God. He is slow to anger, but He eventually gets there.
Martin Luther got there a lot. He said, “I have no better remedy than anger. If I want to write, pray, preach well, then I must be angry. Then my entire blood supply refreshes itself, my mind is made keen, and all temptations depart.”
More than once, God has used anger to get me to do something I was too frightened to do. He knew there was no other way.
The tent crusades were born out of anger. Both California Governor Gavin Newsom and the church made me mad.
Many churches broke my heart. Not all the churches, but certainly a bunch. I was devastated because they did not want to win souls. I am not kidding. When I asked them to win the lost, they refused.
Right after this, the pandemic hit. Gov. Newsom illegally closed the churches. The combination of churches not winning souls and a Governor shutting down the church was too much for me to bear. That is what lit the fire.
The anger gave me the courage to act. We opened a tent crusade in Fresno. God saw to it that no one would stop us. All the crusades since then are the result of that one.
Now I am heading to New York. Mad. Angry. Furious. Why?
Because the ruling elite of New York are at war with Christianity. They are trying to scare pastors. In fact, there are pastors getting paid by Democrats to scare other pastors. What they did to Trump in the courthouse they are trying to do to Christians in the church house.
Speaking of Trump, they have picked a slimy way to neutralize me. They want to link me directly to Trump. While I do support Trump, he is not the focus of this crusade. Jesus Christ is. It is about His power to save and heal.

An investigative reporter from the legacy media wants an interview about the tent. The media wants to label me a ‘MAGA evangelist’.
We are refusing to talk with the leftist media. The Word of God says, “I will guard my ways, lest I sin with my tongue; I will restrain my mouth with a muzzle, while the wicked are before me” (Psalm 39:1).
So I am going because the devil told me to stay out. I am going because godly pastors are being persecuted here in America just like they are in China. I am going because thousands want to be saved.
In New York we are pulling out all the stops. We are flooding social media and secular television. Our team has handed out 60,000 invitation cards. The Tent is already up. Our workers already feel the presence of God when they are in the Tent.
I am angry over so many things happening right now, both within and without the church. But I have only one target for my rage. This verse says it all:
Ephesians 6:12, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
I am not the answer for the state of New York. Jesus Christ is the Answer! I am not a hero in New York. That title belongs to the thousands in New York who have prayed for revival, and to the pastors who have stood their ground without compromise.
The fire is coming to New York
P.S. In a strange but undeniable twist, God has ordered me not to livestream these services. I do not fully understand why that is, but something tells me it has to do with the Left, and because the messages and the miracles will be sharply focused on New Yorkers. MM
