Oregon Faith and Freedom Coalition PAC What has worked to win in Oregon
Please take our poll! Play our video explaining the unique Oregon Political Action Tax Credit that allows almost every Oregonian an easy and potentially free way to fund PAC's like Oregon Faith and Freedom: play
Looking back at Oregon political history, we conservative/Republicans/believers in Faith and Freedom have few wins to revel in. Our history looks more like the OSU Beavers football records of the 1970's and 1980's rather then the football records of the last several years. When we look back at our recent history, we must ask ourselves if we should move or fight? From all practical standpoints it seems that moving is the wisest choice. But do we need to move? Moving is expensive. You separate from friends and family and in the end, it is exactly what Oregon progressive/ultra-liberals/socialist/Democrats want us to do! Leaving Oregon a perfect petri dish for all of their future experiments (like vote by mail, death with "dignity", the most aggressive abortion rights, etc). What is the status of Oregon? Are we really a blue state? And, are there strategies we can look at from other states, or even our own that have proven to work and that should be revisited now and used to win? First, what have we done here in Oregon that worked? Or might work? Lot's of consultants have come and gone claiming they knew how to win in this state. Sadly, they left without victory. We have discussed the fact that you can spend $2 million on a campaign, such as Bud Pierce did in 2016, or $22 million, like Christine Drazan did in 2012, and get the same results. Find this email for this discussion, Second, we have had many surveys/polling done showing how races were narrowing and giving hope of a conservative/Republican victory, only to have our hopes dashed in painful losses. There have been several exceptions to this. One was in the year 2010, when conservative/Republicans won 6 surprising house races and several senate seats, tying the house at 30 to 30, and almost tying the senate as well. Another exception is 2016, when Dennis Richardson, after running unsuccessfully against John Kitzhaber, who then had to resign in scandal, defeated disliked Brad Avakian. The description itself may provide the reason he won. Voters realized their error in electing Kitzhaber and Avakian had so egregiously attacked the Christian bakers that he was disliked and voters chose Richardson. Link to story. Avakian's attack on Christian liberties may have influenced enough of the Democrat base to cause him to lose while Oregonians elected another Democrat for Governor (remember in that year we had both a .
Having explained 2016, what happened in 2010? How did so many seats go to the Conservative/Republicans and why did those seats go back immediately during the next election to progressives? Can we go back to that year and learn something? In that year, the two caucus' explored how to affect races by identifying the unaffiliated voters on "hot" button issues. In 2010, 50,000 conservative Unaffiliated Voters were identified and included in GOTV program to get them to vote for Republicans. Money was raised and a workforce was paid to do what campaigns have usually left to volunteers, actively managing Get Out the Vote (GOTV) thus to ensure a more effective outcome turning those identified conservative U voters out to vote. Can we look back and do this again? And is there actually commonality between the wins of 2010 using lists and the win of 2016 for Richardson? Richardson's win in 2016 did have a large list he kept growing after losing the governor's race in the previous election. Oregon Faith and Freedom is looking back at how to incorporate steps to help Oregon candidates win. Will you join us by helping financially?
Now, with the great SCOTUS decision, reversing Roe v Wade the fight for our families becomes even more important! We should all be very engaged in understanding and helping our fellow Christians gain a renewed understanding of what freedoms we have here in Oregon. Why does Oregon appear to be blue? Because the church isn't voting! Request your copy of our plan to save Oregon by emailing Jeffk@oregonfaithandfreedom.org and review this video Tax Credit donation!
