Secretary of State John Kerry Calls on Iran to Release American Prisoners Pastor Saeed Abedini, Jason Rezaian and Amir Hekmati

United Sates Secretary of State John Kerry called on the government of Iran Friday to release American prisoners Pastor Saeed Abedini, Washington Post reporter Jason Rezaian and Amir Hekmati who has been accused of espionage.

He also asked for help in finding former FBI agent Robert Levinson who went missing in Iran in 2007 and is now reportedly the longest held hostage in American history.

"The Unites States respectfully calls on the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran to release Amir Hekmati, Saeed Abedini, and Jason Rezaian to their families and work cooperatively with us to find Robert Levinson and bring him home," said Kerry in a press statement released by the U.S. Department of State Friday.

Concerning Pastor Abedini, Kerry cited his family's hardship and the looming two year anniversary of his detention for his religious beliefs.

"On September 26, Mr. Abedini will have been detained for two years in Iran, on charges related to his religious beliefs. Mrs. Abedini has spoken eloquently about the difficulties her family has faced during this challenging time," he said.

Kerry also noted that Friday marked the three-year anniversary of Hekmati's detention after he was falsely accused of spying.

"Today marks the three-year anniversary of U.S. citizen Amir Hekmati's detention on false espionage charges while visiting his family in Iran. Mr. Hekmati is the eldest son; he has long been separated from his family and they need him home," said Kerry.

Pointing to the longest held hostage in American history, Kerry noted that Levinson has been missing since March 2007 when he was last seen on Kish Island. "His family has endured years of painful separation and worry. We are immensely concerned about his well-being and whereabouts," noted Kerry.

Jason Rezaian and his wife, Yeganeh Salehi, were arrested in Iran late last month without a stated reason and authorities haven't released any details of their whereabouts.

"Mr. Rezaian, a reporter for the Washington Post, is being detained in an unknown location. His love of Iran is seen in his reporting – portraits of the generosity and kindness of the Iranian people. The United States remains committed to returning all of them to their families, friends, and loved ones," said Kerry.

"We ask the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran to immediately release Amir Hekmati, Saeed Abedini, and Jason Rezaian and respectfully request the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran work cooperatively with us to find Mr. Levinson and bring him home," ended Kerry.

True story. So, I walk to the ponds’ edge this morning to feed our five ducks and an alligator lurked uncomfortably nearby (just under the water’s surface) waiting for a meal. My husband first spotted this creature last week and it seems to be about four feet long. I took immediate action and called the game commissioner. Sadly, they won’t come and take the gator away until he’s almost six feet long. And, it’s against the law to shoot them. Duh?

Needless to say, I’m going to take Peter’s advice and I paraphrase: Be vigilant and cautious at all times for that [gator] swims around seeking someone or something to eat! In all seriousness---you know, our enemy, the devil, is more powerful than this alligator. 

Let’s be reminded that our adversary can appear as an angel of light, studying and discovering our weaknesses. What we may not realize is that just when we are most vulnerable, He pounces. For instance, if our habit is overeating, he will take us down bite by bite. If pornography, he knows the right moment to put lustful thoughts into our minds.

Also, and especially when we are in the middle of doing something spiritual, the murderer gets a toehold. When we think we’re standing strong, that is the time when the old wormwood is about to strike. Therefore, we must take heed, for he will kill, steal, and destroy. The solution is God’s protective armor found in Ephesians 6:10-18.

WHAT'S AMERICA'S NO. 1 NATIONAL SECURITY THREAT?

What does a nation do when its highest official represents the biggest security threat it faces?

That’s what America needs to decide – and fast.

Because the Islamic State, or ISIS, is not the nation’s No. 1 security threat.

Neither is the open border between Mexico and the U.S.

Nor is the increase in racial strife and division in America the biggest risk facing the country.

It’s also not a rapidly failing economy that could collapse at a moment’s notice.

Nor is it the breakdown of the rule of law in America.

The No. 1 threat to America’s national security is one man. But it’s not Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi, the leader of ISIS. It’s not Mexico’s President Enrique Peña Nieto. It’s not Al Sharpton or Eric Holder or “Big Mike” Brown or Ferguson, Missouri, police officer Darren Wilson. It’s also not Federal Reserve Chairman Janet Yellen, nor is it House Speaker John Boehner. It’s not Vladimir Putin, and it’s not Bashar Assad. It’s not even North Korean leader Kim Jong-un or China’s leader Xi Jinping.

It’s Barack Hussein Obama.

I would go even further to say that Obama represents a greater existential threat to the American way of life, as we have known it since the nation was founded, than all of these other people, nations, organizations and crises combined.

The reason for that is simple: Obama has either created these threats or greatly exacerbated them through his position in the White House.

Let’s take them one by one:

• Who is ISIS? The mass killers of Christians, Shiites and all but radicalized Sunni Muslims in the Middle East didn’t just pop up out of nowhere. Baghdadi was the leader of al-Qaida in Iraq. When he took his forces to Syria with the express purpose of toppling the Assad regime, Obama sent the Syrian opposition arms and supplies and pleaded with congressional leaders to bless his plan to bomb the smithereens out of Syria in support of the rebels. ISIS was, by far, the strongest element of the Syrian opposition and ultimately captured all of the U.S. weaponry supplied by Obama. Then Baghdadi directed his fighters into Iraq in the wake of the military vacuum created by Obama’s decision to pull out all U.S. military forces against the recommendations of every sane or honest military adviser. Now what Obama is suggesting to counteract the ISIS carnage in Iraq is little more than token air strikes of the kind he previously sought in support of the Syrian opposition led by ISIS.
• Why is there a crisis at the border that may have already permitted infiltration of the U.S. by terrorists sympathetic to ISIS and al-Qaida? It’s there because Obama willingly created it to lure children from Central America to the U.S. as a political prop to promote his plan to turn millions of illegal aliens into a Trojan horse army to be assimilated into his domestic political machine. He may not have actually anticipated the way the border crisis could be used by foreign terrorists hell-bent on murdering Americans, but he probably doesn’t lose any sleep over the possibility. After all, he and his closest advisers believe one should “never let a good crisis go to waste.”
• Remember the way Obama’s supporters fantasized how the first black president would serve to heal the nation of the lingering effects of institutional racism? Who would have believed, instead, we would see urban riots, black mob violence, “knockout games” and a Justice Department that more closely resembles an old-fashioned, racially motivated lynching party? Obama has set back race relations in the U.S. by 50 years – and he’s done it intentionally, on purpose and with malice aforethought.
• How about the economic problems still plaguing America nearly six years into Obama’s presidency? Was it just bad luck? Was it, as he suggests, non-cooperation by the Republicans? No, Obama was given free rein to do what he wanted for the first two years he was in power with Democrat majorities in both houses of Congress. Even after Republicans took control of the House of Representatives in 2011, they never denied him anything of importance – providing virtually unlimited spending by raising the debt limit every time it was reached. Obama, who thought the debt was too high under George W. Bush and voted to oppose exceeding the debt limit, has now doubled it in less than six years – with no end in sight and no plans to stop the borrowing and spending insanity.
• What about the rule of law? They say without the rule of law you have the rule of men. Obama has taken full advantage of this truism by leading the attack on the rule of law – actually willfully and admittedly breaking it time and time again in the interest of furthering his political agenda. With Obama as the most visible lawbreaker in America, how dare we as a nation hold any other criminals accountable for their actions?

This isn’t an indictment of Obama. It’s just a simple statement of fact.

Eldridge Cleaver didn’t always make a lot of sense, but he got it right when he made this statement: “You’re either part of the solution or part of the problem.”

Do you think Obama is part of the solution? Can you honestly say that after nearly six years of watching him govern between golf rounds?

Ronald Reagan famously said, “Government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem.”

It was true then, and it’s true today. But we can now personalize this slogan. We can put a face on it: “Obama is not the solution; Obama is the problem.”

In fact, I would say, he’s the biggest problem America faces today – the biggest threat to the nation’s national security, bar none.

My comments: Farah is accurate. But the reason Obama is the Problem is that Obama is an anti-Chrsit. He is America's first overtly anti-Chrsit President. The slaughter of Christians taking place today is like a "living history" for Rep. Anna Eshoo, D-California. Her parents and grandparents fled the Middle East because they were being persecuted for their Christian faith, she explained to The Christian Post in a videophone interview.

Both of Eshoo's parents emigrated to the United States as children. Both sets of her grandparents, Armenian and Assyrian Christians, "fled for their lives because Christians were being slaughtered," she explained. What is happening to Christians in Syria and Iraq today recalled for Eshoo stories told to her by her grandmothers.

"What we are witnessing today, and have been witnessing, began after the invasion of the U.S. into Iraq, ... This is a living history for me. What is taking place now are the same stories that my grandmothers have told me of what they witnessed, of what they endured, of the family members who did not make it because they were slaughtered. So this is very real to me," she said.

What is taking place needs to be labeled "genocide," Eshoo added, because that is what it is, and there is an urgency to immediately address the crisis.

"I don't think any president wants genocide not dealt with next to their name, it matters not whether it is a Republican administration or a Democratic administration," she said.

Eshoo has been one of the leading spokespersons in Congress on the issues of religious freedom and the persecution of Christians in the Middle East. She supported a resolution passed in the House condemning ISIS and calling on the State Department to work with the Kurds and other regional allies to secure safe havens for the displaced religious and ethnic minorities.

She also co-authored legislation with Rep. Frank Wolf, R-Virginia, to establish a special envoy in the State Department to focus on the plight of religious minorities in the Middle East.

She had worked on getting that bill passed since the George W. Bush administration, she said, but had difficulty getting support in the Senate and the State Department. It recently passed the Senate with the help of Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Virginia, and was signed by President Obama.

Eshoo emphasized that she would not support using U.S. ground troops against ISIS, but believes the threat can be dealt with through a coalition of groups threatened by ISIS, such as the Kurds and the new Iraqi government.

My comments: Eshoo ignores the fact the Obama ignores this GENOCIDE because he is a demonstrated anti-Chrsit. She is a Democrat and there are NO DEMOCRAT CHRISTIANS. You cannot support a party the Murders the unborn and Persecutes Christians and be a Christian.

No matter what you’ve just walked through, what you’re in the middle of or what you fear lingers in the horizon, God intends to restore your soul…your mind, will, and emotions…that essential part that is the real you, for You are precious in His sight.

His way of restoration is found in Psalm 19:7, “The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul.” Restoration is discovered in the Word of God. It’s perfect in its work. Interesting to review the meaning of perfect: complete in all respects, precise, pure, absolute/not limited. God’s Word will do its perfect work as we read it, meditate on it, hear God speak to us through it, and obey. It’s absolute and not limited in its power. It’s precise in addressing our specific need. It’s pure and holy, an unblemished Word that is complete in transforming us.

The definitions of restore reveal the myriad of its functions for our soul: to give back something taken away or lost, make restitution, repair, rebuild, bring back to health and strength, refresh, renew. Can you relate to any of these needs in your life right now? The Word of God is the way of restoration. Delve deeply into His Law.

Once the Father has restored us, He sets our feet on a righteous path, guiding us so we may stay on course. Be assured : “…He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6

Fighting In Syria Spills Across Border Into Israel

I am praying for you in the Holy City of Jerusalem today.

The brutal Syrian civil war that has seen tens of thousands killed and millions left homeless has now started to cross the border and impact Israel. There were at least seven mortars fired into northern Israel and at least two people wounded. 

The frightening reality is that ISIS—the Islamic State—is rapidly gaining ground in Syria and has taken control of a major border crossing between Syria and Israel. 

This represents a grave threat, and I urge you to join me in fervent prayer that another war will not break out. The people of Israel have already suffered so much, and we must continue to stand with them.

I received more bad news from northern Iraq, where RUN Ministries volunteers are risking their lives to rescue Iraqi Christians and other religious minorities. RUN Ministries president Eric Watt sent me the following disturbing update about his teams' ongoing rescue efforts:

In the midst of our teams working day and night, risking their lives to rescue people from evil, I received two devastating reports. First, another one of our own team leaders was captured by the terrorists. His efforts to explain that human beings have worth and should not be slaughtered fell on deaf ears, and he was killed.
Then I just received another list of the Yazidis who have been taken by ISIS. We are getting the names and locations of people trapped and the locations where they are being held. There are so many (sometimes 100, 200 or 1,000 kept in one place), and they have been forced to watch the terrorists brutalize family members and take their daughters.

Our teams are doing everything possible to rescue displaced Iraqi Christians and other religious minorities. But the terrorists are armed, dangerous and determined to destroy everyone who is not a Muslim. 
This is not the time to give up or allow other current events to lessen the intensity of our support and response. Peoples' lives are at stake and we must do everything possible to help them!

There is only One cross for security.

When you think about it, God is so powerful that HE only sent His Son once to die, once for all mankind, for past, present, and future generations. Why, then, do we think when we sin we need to crucify HIM again?

Why does man think that God failed at the task the first time in our lives? There is a question to consider, though; did you really understand and mean it when you turned your life over to HIM in the first place? I had to ask myself this very question. I went through thirteen years thinking I had accepted Him, but there was just something missing. Finally, at the age of eighteen, I saw that I needed to believe that Jesus did it once for me. My heart's passion is to see that those who might have accepted Jesus when they were young understand this truth. 

NOW is the time to accept HIM for Real, and never think again when you have sinned that you have to put Jesus on the cross again. Praise God, HE did it all the first time.

My comment: Christ Jesus said to the woman caught in adultery: "Go and sin no more." That is what He says to each of us who have accepted Him as Savior and Lord. When we do sin, we ask Him to forgive us, and that is not crucifying Him again.

The civil lawsuit, filed in federal court in Washington falls under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, or RICO, alleges criminal acts by Obama, Secretary of State John Kerry, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon.

Seeking $1.5 billion in compensatory damages as well as punitive damages, it accuses the global figures of “laundering U.S. dollars” to Hamas, which is officially designated by the U.S. government as a Foreign Terrorist Organization.

“This money has been foreseeably used to buy rockets and construct tunnels to attack Israel and terrorize and kill American and dual American-Israeli citizens who reside or are located in Israel,” Klayman said in a statement.

“The nation and the world have increasingly come to see that Obama views himself primarily as a Muslim and acts accordingly in favoring Islamic interests over Judeo-Christian ones, and the complaint lays out Obama’s history in documented detail,” he said.

Klayman said Obama’s actions “were calculated to harm the nation of Israel.”

“His facilitating and ordering financial and other material aid to Hamas, along with his equally anti-Israel Secretaries of State Kerry and Clinton, and the U.N. Secretary General, is just the latest deadly chapter in what amounts to criminal activity which has logically resulted in harm and death to Jews and Christians and threatens the continued existence of Israel,” he said.

“That is why he and the other defendants were sued under RICO and other relevant laws,” said Klayman.

The White House media office declined to respond by telephone to a request from WND for comment, instructing a reporter to send an email. There was no immediately response to the email inquiry.

The case, No. 14-1484, alleges the defendants conspired to send hundreds of millions of dollars to Hamas “under the false pretext that this financial support will be used for humanitarian purposes.”

“However,” the complaint states, “as recently reported by Voice of America and the New York Times, the recent killing of the chief Hamas financial officer by the IDF confirmed that these U.S. dollars, only some of which [were] found in his bombed out car, [have] predictably fallen into the hands of Hamas’ terrorist wing, which controls and was elected by Gazans to govern over them.”

Klayman’s recent case against the NSA challenged its program of spying on Americans. Two privacy-rights heavyweights, the American Civil Liberties Union and the Electronic Frontier Foundation, recently filed friend-of-the-court briefs in support of Klayman’s arguments.

The case has been advanced to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.

Klayman sued the NSA over the collection of telephone metadata from Verizon customers that was detailed in documents released by intelligence-document leaker Edward Snowden. In December 2013, U.S. District Judge Richard Leon issued a preliminary ruling that the program was likely unconstitutional, and the case is currently on appeal before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.

His newest complaint, with himself and a number of John Does as plaintiffs, is a civil action and seeks damages from the defendants “for violating plaintiffs’ and decedents’ rights, for engaging in racketeering and other prohibited activities, for engaging in international terrorism, for harboring and concealing terrorists, for providing material support to terrorists and terrorist groups, for directly and proximately causing the deaths of plaintiffs’ decedents, and for directly and proximately causing mental anguish, severe emotional distress, emotional pain and suffering, and the loss of society, earnings, companionship, comfort, protection, care, attention, advice, counsel or guidance, plaintiffs, on behalf of themselves and their sons, plaintiffs’ decedents, have experienced and will experience in the future.”

It alleges fraud, money-laundering, mail fraud, wire fraud, conversion and corruption.

The complaint notes Klayman recently was in Israel when it was attacked by Hamas.

Klayman, it says, “was subject to terroristic threats, fear, intimidation and blackmail from Hamas, aimed at coercing him from the exercise of his legal rights in violation of the Hobbs Act by Hamas seeking to deny his freedom of travel and public advocacy and business activities in Israel and other activities in Israel by threats and intimidation aimed at coercing him as a person engaged in public advocacy and business activities in and with Israel to leave Israel and disengage with Israel.”

Other “John Doe” plaintiffs also were in Israel at the time of the attacks, the complaint states.

It explains that, according to the law, a person “knowingly finances terrorism when fully aware of facts that would inform an alert person of average intelligence that the probable results of their actions will be to provide funding to a terrorist organization.”

“One may not naively turn a blind eye, not even a president of the United States,” the complaint states.

It says considerable amounts of charity money, public assistance, international assistance and humanitarian aid is motivated toward ending the violence in the Holy Land, but it “gets diverted to the corrupt enterprise, and becomes money that – fell off a truck into the hands of the criminals actually causing the violence and their enablers.”

The complaint says all of the defendants know or have reason to know that “funds and material support provided to Gaza under Hamas’s rule are actually used entirely or in the most part to finance the acts of terrorism, violence, murder, attempted murder, kidnapping, assault, injury, physical attacks, and other criminal activity by Hamas.’

The complaint says the defendants known Hamas uses building materials for home-made rockets and underground bunkers.

The complaint also notes Obama knows Hamas is officially designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization by State Department and uses resources it receives for terrorist attacks, including the $900 million the Obama administration sent to Gaza in 2009.

It even accuses Obama of “siding with” militants known as “ISIS or ISIL, signaling to the people of Israel and Jews and Christians that Hamas’ crimes against Israel and Jews and Christians are tacitly supported and approved of by the president of the United States.”

The case also names Malik Obama, a half-brother of the president who runs the Barack Obama Foundation. The case alleges the organization raises money for the Muslim Brotherhood.

“Two leaked classified documents show Egyptian security forces have been monitoring Malik Obama’s activities and they also implicate President Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton in the aiding and abetting of terrorists.”

Klayman explained the documents were entered as evidence in the criminal trials of former Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi and other top Muslim Brotherhood leaders.
