Today marks yet another day in which Liberty Counsel will receive nearly 1,000 desperate pleas for help to avoid unlawful shot mandates. 

And while employees face losing their livelihood and students their education, the members of the military face an unbelievable threat—PRISON for refusing the shot.

Daniel* and Maryann* stood on the sidewalk outside one of our offices this week with tears pouring down their faces. 

Their son Samuel* is being threatened with two years in prison if he refuses to take Joe Biden’s mandated jab!

Samuel is an active-duty U.S. Navy SEAL. 

With more than a decade of service in this special operations unit, he has been deployed multiple times around the world and has earned many personal and unit awards for his loyal service to our country.

But that doesn’t matter to Joe Biden, who has now unlawfully ordered all military service members to get the shots.

Samuel filed his religious exemption with his chain of command. 

This paperwork should have been the end of the story. 

But all members of the military are being told to get the shots or be punished. 

NO RELIGIOUS EXEMPTIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED.

Samuel has been informed that he will be charged with an “Article 92” infraction under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), which is disobedience of a direct order. 

Article 92 charges result in loss of all pay and all benefits and a bad conduct discharge, which would harm Samuel’s future career prospects.

Even worse, an Article 92 conviction also includes punishment of up to TWO YEARS IN MILITARY PRISON.
 

Defend Our Defenders!

From day one, service members are informed that the UCMJ requires them to follow only LEGAL orders. 

Yet these orders coming from Joe Biden and his secretary of defense are ILLEGAL.

Here are the FACTS and the LAW:

(1) There is no COVID injection available that is fully approved by the FDA. The only fully approved jab, Comirnaty, is not yet available. All the shots remain under Emergency Use Authorization, which means individuals have the “option to accept or refuse.”

(2) All federal employees, including military members, are covered by the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA), which is a powerful law that protects religious freedom.

Samuel’s father says, “It is unconscionable that those who have fought for our freedom, risking their lives and making great sacrifices are the ones who are being threatened with loss of job, dishonorable discharges and prison time.”

“Yet given the liberal left's continued pattern of using the military to validate their social agenda, I don’t find it surprising. Which makes the prospects of them making examples of these service members who stand in their way of getting full compliance within the military all the more terrifying,” he concludes.

Samuel will be one of our plaintiffs in the upcoming lawsuit. Liberty Counsel is honored to represent this honorable serviceman in his fight for religious freedom, even as he has fought for OUR freedom.

Samuel joins a number of other service members from all branches of the military who will be plaintiffs in our lawsuit against Biden’s Department of Defense.
