Trust His Promises

When preparing to move a distance away, parting with friends and family can be difficult. We try to make these occasions easier by declaring that we will call, we will visit often, and we’ll definitely prepare a comfy guest room.
My husband and I made such a move some years ago. Our new home was all we had hoped it would be, and could comfortably accommodate guests.
Some accepted our invitation and some did not.
In a limited way, this experience reminds me of Jesus preparing His disciples for His departure. Jesus stated,

“In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”(John 14:2-3 NIV)
The disciples may not have understood completely at the time, but His resurrection certainly bolstered their belief and trust.

He confides to the Father,
“I want those you have given me to be with me where I am…” (John 17:24 NIV).
Who are those given to Jesus?
The Apostle Peter answered this question at Pentecost,
“And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Acts 2:21 NIV)
Who wouldn’t want to accept His invitation?
Do you want to live with Jesus someday?
Do you want to live with Jesus someday?
Believe in God’s Word.
Call on Jesus’ name.
You can trust Him.
He keeps all His promises!
