Friend,
There have been moments over this past year when our attorneys and I have felt like we were swatting flies—swarms of vicious biting flies intent on eating away all vestiges of freedom in America.
One by one, we filed suit against tyrannical governors, forcing them to allow pastors to preach and people to worship.
We sued KY Gov. Andy Beshear, and won. Church is legal again.
We sued CA Gov. Gavin Newsom and won. Church is legal again. We now have a permanent statewide injunction, and the state was ordered to pay 1.35 million dollars.
But some rogue governors still REFUSE to give up—and are threatening to again shut down the churches.

Shutdown-loving governors in Illinois, Maine and elsewhere REFUSE to acknowledge the First Amendment RIGHT to worship.
Now they are using discredited Anthony Fauci rhetoric about the "Delta" variant as an excuse to wield their swords.
They just don't want to give up power.
Worse yet, tyrants are calling for mandatory Vaccine Passports.
We now face a situation in which control-minded tyrants want to force everyone to get the COVID shots—and carry a mandatory Vaccine Passport to prove it in order to go anywhere in public, including church.
I've written substantially about the dangers of the COVID shots, as well as the illegal and immoral nature of forced shots and Vaccine Passports.
But whether or not you agree with the COVID shots, no government entity has the authority to shut down churches or interfere with worship.
This week, Liberty Counsel filed a major brief with the Supreme Court against the tyrannical, church-restricting governor of Maine—Janet Mills. And we are preparing to file another major brief soon.
From March 2020 to May 24, 2021, Calvary Chapel Bangor and its highly successful Calvary Residential Discipleship (CRD) program were forced to operate illegally every time they met for worship.
The moment a Bible was opened, a sermon preached or a prayer spoken, the entire operation was ILLEGAL because the group of 48 men and women with the pastoral staff always exceeded the "magic" number Mills permitted.
Every participant in Calvary's program—from the pastor to the attendees—faced daily accumulating fines and prison each time they met ... all because they refused to give up the Bible and worship.
Scripture and prayer are precisely what makes Calvary's CRD program remarkably successful. One graduate, Emily, recently shared her story, and now I'd like to share it with you ...
"Scared and empty I walked into that door, when my parents left, I crumbled, but I was where God wanted me. He met me there, through the many ladies who poured themselves out on all of us who were there. I learned again about the Love of God toward us all and I learned about surrender. Though far from perfected I graduated the program. This was all just the beginning of my walk with the Lord. . .
I have so many new testimonies of what God has done in my life since this moment 16 years ago today, but I felt like today I needed to share about my drug addiction in hopes that it will give someone out there struggling a hope. No matter how far away you feel and no matter how bad you think you are, God is waiting for you, and He can and will restore the years that have been eaten up."
None of this would have been possible in a "secular" program, says Pastor Ken Graves.
It is the love and grace of Christ that enables the transformation.
Without Jesus, there is no chance of recovery.
But Gov. Mills doesn't care.
Gov. Janet Mills is refusing to give up her anti-church ways. She insists she has the right to shutter churches—and the CRD recovery program—any time she likes ... no matter the cost.
Maine Gov. Janet Mills is WRONG. And we're going to prove it in court.

"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery" (Gal. 5:1).
