CAN AMERICA BE SAVED?

David Kupelian on keeping today’s sociopathic ruling elite from totally destroying our nation Dear friend of WND,   In my email messages to you, I often recount the ways Big Tech is trying to crush WND – Google suppressing us, YouTube de-monetizing us, giant ad companies “canceling” us, Facebook “jailing” us, and so on. Then I conclude by pointing out that WND might not be around much longer without your support. But really, beyond WND’s self-preservation, why does this matter so much? Why does it matter to you? Well, think for just a moment about the truly huge, history-changing stories of the last few years – “Trump-Russia collusion,” the rise of Black Lives Matter and Antifa, the movement to “defund the police,” the controversy over Hunter Biden, the true origins of the coronavirus and concerns over the mRNA vaccines, allegations that the 2020 presidential election was rigged, and the January 6 “Capitol Insurrection.” In every single case, WND has gotten the story right – and right from the start – while almost all of the Big Media organizations have been wrong – arrogantly, perversely, willfully wrong regardless of the unfolding facts. Now consider that when WND reports truthfully and courageously about COVID, or about 2020 election fraud, or some other particularly controversial issue, we are relentlessly attacked, suppressed and banned on social media and by the ubiquitous “fact-checkers” and the many other internet “news guardians,” for spreading “far rightwing conspiracy theories.” That is, until the truth we have been reporting becomes so undeniable that they are forced to relent and unceremoniously drop their attacks – on that story. No apologies or mea culpas ever. In fact, they pretend they knew and had acknowledged the truth all along. Then they move on quickly to some other issue on which to attack us, malign us, and attempt to take us down. Friends, this isn’t just some big bizarre annoyance, some surreal vignette from modern life, about which we can exclaim, “Oh, look how crazy Big Media and Big Tech are today!” and then move on to more important things. No. They’re causing our once-great country to unravel and disintegrate right before our eyes. They’re spreading lies, and they’re stealing our constitutional rights to free speech and a free press. The problem is, without a free, independent and truth-based press, there is no hope of America surviving as the sweet land of liberty in which we grew up. None. Jefferson expressed this truth in his 1823 letter to Lafayette, when he wrote: "The only security of all is in a free press." Since 1997, WND’s motto has been  “A Free Press for a Free People.”  What America is suffering from right now is a full-fledged neo-Marxist revolution rooted in a massive and growing web of lies. Fortunately, truthful, courageous reporting has been our specialty at WND, now in our 25th year of continuous operation. Let’s be really honest: We live in an era when both politics and culture are dominated and directed by people who, by any reasonable historical definition, are insane, and are advocating and propagating evil. People who want to eliminate your police departments, while releasing violent criminals from prison onto the streets and taking away your guns for self-defense are not “liberal” or “progressive.” They’re revolutionaries and would-be totalitarians. Today’s ruling class covets, above all else, power, glory, worship, wealth and privilege for themselves – and revenge on their enemies. In a word, they want to be gods. Again, we’re talking about something truly unholy and evil. To accomplish all this, they lie. All the time. About everything. For such people, lying represents a creative power – the key to accomplishing impossible things they could never otherwise accomplish. There’s no substantive policy discussion in which they don’t lie, deceive, distract, dissemble, blame others, change the subject and/or attack opponents and critics of their madness. They are lying about Joe Biden’s obvious and scary cognitive and physical decline. The president is demented and they ALL know it, but pretend it isn’t so. We’ve never seen such massive, coordinated and in-your-face lying among our nation’s ruling class. Friends, the only force that can defeat such rampant lying like this is rampant truth-telling – and that’s the job of the news media. Fortunately, there are still a precious few professional journalism organizations committed to truth, accuracy, honesty, traditional American values – and powerfully telling it like it really is.
