Hope Through Divine Achievement
Robert Schaetzle
His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 2 Peter 1:3 NIV
Isn't that a most wonderful promise?

Through His divine grace, God measures out more grace for us, much like faith [Romans 12:3].
For every circumstance that comes before us, His presence and resources are available for our every need.
The only requirement is that His power, presence, and a godly life, are measured out in relation to our knowledge of Him.
The more we know Him, the greater our victory in this world.
I have often shared in my sermons the value of building lasting relations within the fellowship of our brothers and sisters of faith.

Even more crucial is eternal intimacy with our Lord.
In wanting and seeking Divine intervention to lead and control all of our situations, we will be blessed as we recognize His presence leading us.
I can get into trouble when I think I'm in control or see what the result will be ahead of my circumstances.

This is not the hope that comes through faith in the unseen promises of God as the Apostle Paul wrote about in Romans.
We walk by faith in what is eternal and unseen, not by sight in the flesh.
For in this hope we were saved.
For in this hope we were saved.
But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. Romans 8:24-25
The more we walk by faith in God's promises, the more His divine nature is revealed in our lives.
Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. 2 Peter 1:4
