Someone who is reading this right now is going to seize the greatest opportunity of their life.
Americans want Christ in record numbers.
Meanwhile, the church—from the mega-sized to the tiny—continues to act as if Americans hate God and need to be coddled when it comes to Truth.
The narrative of defeat is everywhere.
Even in sermons that are intended to be victorious, there is the smell of defeat.
The Church is behaving as if we can never confront and conquer the leftist agenda.
When messages from churches refuse to confront the evil of our culture—they are ignoring the harvest.
When the verbal content is only for believers—they are ignoring the harvest.
Not matter how high sounding and motivational the message—if it ignores the harvest, it is grounded in defeat.
Mr. Fauci tells you the vaccination will save you, but you must keep wearing the mask.
We see him as a buffoon for that kind of double talk.
But how is the preacher who masks the Gospel any different?
Wake up church! Woke Corporations are clueless.
Swooning professional sports and billionaire athletes are comatose.
The standups on late night television, Colbert, Kimmel, Fallon, Corden, Maher and Meyers do not know America.
The MSNBC, and CNN echo chambers do not know America.
Al Jazeera does not know America.
Neither Bloomberg nor Soros know America.
And who knows what Biden does not know…
Wake up church! America—the real America wants Jesus.
They yearn for forgiveness and peace of mind.
They do not hate our history.
I am talking about your neighbor—from the kid down at the park, who is all alone, to the tax paying, law abiding citizens. Millions of them.
California is supposed to be the worst place in the world for the Gospel.
So then, why did the conversions in Fresno, Bakersfield, and now Modesto, create a crisis of shortages?
We thought 600 fervent volunteers in Modesto would be enough, right? Now we know they were not!
The harvest was bigger than we thought. Way bigger.
I do not harbor a fantasy that, somehow, I was so eloquent and powerful that it broke the spell over these California cities.
All the glory goes to God.
The people were hungry, they still are.
Hungry with a hunger that did not need bells and whistles or any kind of diluted message.
And the hunger in California should be a warning to us all.
If it is like this here—then what is it like where you live?
What if vast numbers of Americans want God, but we are so conditioned to believe they do not, that we are sleeping through the harvest? Proverbs 10:5,
“He who gathers in summer is a wise son; he who sleeps in harvest is a son who causes shame.”
The hunger in California is a rebuke—a stern rebuke to those who refuse to reopen and gather the harvest.
The Supreme Court struck down both the ban on indoor worship and the limitation of size for indoor worship.
We must thank God, Pastor Che Ahn, Harvest Rock Church, and all the brave pastors who stood against tyranny for these victories.
But they are hollow victories if churches do not reopen.
And, forgive me, but some inner-city churches who have been sympathetic, shall we say, to the Democrat Party, have been paralyzed by fear.
Even after the threat of the virus has passed, congregants in these urban centers are angry with pastors who want to reopen, and sadly, those pastors are afraid of their people.
What is wrong with us?!
The public spoke loud and clear in Modesto.
They are not afraid to stand shoulder to shoulder to hear the Gospel. They are not the automatons you think they are.
They are not blindly following the Gavin Newsom script.
Not even during the Jesus Movement did I see this kind of violent hunger for God.
It reminds me more of the stampede of the crowds that rushed to hear John the Baptist in the wilderness.
When they asked Jesus about the astounding draw of people to John, He said,
“From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force” (Matthew 11:12).
And if the Kingdom of Heaven is at this moment suffering violence, what will happen to the lukewarm church and the timid preacher?
I do not know what it will take to warn you.
I can only speak for my team and myself. We are all in.
We have declared total war.
We do not see any option but to harvest, harvest, and keep harvesting.
If there is any model for what I am declaring, it is Greg & Kathy Fairrington of Destiny Church in Rocklin, California.
They stayed open and faced the fury of Sacramento’s totalitarian politics.
And God gave them a mighty harvest.
In the last few weeks, they made a decision that was sudden and unexpected.
They began sending their army onto the William Jessup University Soccer Field.
They will go open-air, setting up thousands of chairs and a first-class stage with professional lighting.
They are going after thousands of souls, from May 2nd through the 5th.
Why would they do such a crazy thing?
Because they know what so many in the Body of Christ are refusing to see:
AMERICANS WANT CHRIST IN RECORD NUMBERS!
