THE LORD’S PATTERN PRAYER

 

FATHER IN HEAVEN

We acknowledge God as our Father,

The One Who created us before Time began;

The One Who loves us

And was willing to Die for us;

The One Who Promises us Eternal Life;

That we might live Forever in His Presence.

The One Who lives inside of us

Leading and guiding us.

HOLY IS YOUR NAME

Our God is Holy, Pure Undefiled,

As is His Kingdom.

His Word is Holy.

He calls upon us to be Holy,

That we might live continually

In His Presence.

YOUR KINGDOM COME

We who love God and His Son, Christ Jesus,

Long for His Return,

To take us out of this Wicked, Lost and Dying World,

Either by Death or His Return.

YOUR WILL BE DONE

We who love God and His Son, Christ Jesus,

Seek to do His Will;

We seek to have His Will done in our lives

And on Earth as in Heaven,

As that is the only Hope that exists.

GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD

We who seek First the Kingdom of God

Are promised that everything we need,

Including our daily bread, will be provided.

AND FORGIVE US OUR TRESPASSES

We are all born with a Sin Nature;

We have all Sinned against God

And must ask God to Forgive us of these Sins.

AS WE FORGIVE THOSE WHO TRESPASS AGAINST US

If we do not Forgive those who Trespass against us,

God cannot Forgive us.

Each of us has Sinned unto Death;

We were Dead in Sin when Christ Saved us;

By Faith and Grace,

He has taken us from Death to Life.

LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION

God leads no one into Temptation;

Temptation is a work of the Flesh and the Devil,

But the guidance of the Holy Spirit

Can keep us from Temptation.

BUT DELIVER US FROM THE EVIL ONE

The Evil One, the Devil,

Rules this Wicked World we live in

And he is continually Tempting every Believer.

It will be that way

Until we Die or Christ returns.

But our obedience to the Holy Spirit

Can keep us from this Temptation.

FOR THINE IS THE KINGDOM

AND THE POWER AND THE GLORY, FOREVER. AMEN

The Kingdom of God is from Everlasting to Everlasting.

God is Almighty, All seeing, All knowing,

Present everywhere.

Heaven and Earth will pass away

But God’s Word and His Kingdom

Will last Forever.
