(Matthew 25:1-13)
At that time
the Kingdom of Heaven will be like Ten Virgins
Who took their lamps
and went out to meet the Bridegroom.
2 Five of them were
Foolish and five were Wise.
3 The foolish ones
took their Lamps
But did not take any
oil with them.
4 The Wise, however,
took Oil in jars along with their Lamps.
5 The Bridegroom was
a long time in coming,
And they all became
drowsy and Fell Asleep.
6 At midnight the
cry rang out:
'Here's the
Bridegroom! Come out to meet Him!'
7 Then all the
Virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps.
8 The foolish ones
said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil;
Our lamps are going
out.'
9 'No,' they
replied,
'There may not be
enough for both us and you.
Instead, go to those
who sell Oil and buy some for yourselves.'
10 But while they
were on their way to buy Oil,
The Bridegroom
arrived.
THE VIRGINS WHO WERE
READY
Went in with him to
the Wedding Banquet.
AND THE DOOR WAS
SHUT.
11 Later the others
also came .
'Sir! Sir!' they
said. 'Open the Door for us!'
12 But He replied,
'I tell you the truth, I don't know you.'
13
THEREFORE KEEP WATCH,
Because
you do not know the Day or the Hour.
This
is a parable of
The Time of the END;
About
“virgins,” “oil” and “knowing.”
The ten were all
Virgins;
That is people washed
in the blood of the Lamb; forgiven.
Which is the only way
That any of us can
become Virgins in the eyes of God.
The Virgins all had
some Oil in their lamps,
But the only the Wise
had enough in jars,
To sustain them for the
extended period of time
That would be required.
They all became drowsy
and fell asleep.
At the announcement of
the coming of the Bridegroom
(Christ Jesus)
They all lit their
lamps.
At that time, the
Foolish Virgins
Realized that they did
not have enough Oil.
They were not prepared
for the occasion.
They ask the Wise
Virgins for some of their Oil.
However, the Wise
refused
Because they said
That they may not have
enough for all of them.
The Wise Virgins tell
the Foolish ones
To go and buy Oil for
themselves.
The Foolish Virgins go
to buy Oil.
In the meantime the
Bridegroom arrives
And there can be no
delay;
The Five Virgins who
were ready
Went in with Him and
the Door was Shut.
Later the Five Foolish
Virgins came to the Door
And implored the
Bridegroom to let them in.
But He replied, that He
did not “know” them.
They did not “know”
Him because they had not allowed
Christ Jesus to write
upon their hearts and upon their minds,
Because then, they
would have “known” Him;
He would have been
their Teacher according to Jeremiah 31:31-34.
This “knowing”
comes by Christ in us our Teacher;
Putting His law in our
minds and writing it upon our hearts;
It is the Anointing, of
The Anointed One
That teaches us to
“know” Him;
It is the Oil, a type
of the Holy Spirit;
Christ in us the hope
of glory.
Christ Jesus said,
Now this is Eternal
Life:
That they may know
you, the only True God,
And Jesus Christ,
whom You have sent. (John 17:3)
The Oil to the Five
Virgins in this case was as critical
As “first love”
was to the Church of Ephesus.
It is a matter of
spiritual LIFE or death
Before the Christ of
God.
