'Clinton skated because she's running for president, she clearly violated the law'

(ABCNEWS.GO) — Former federal prosecutor Rudy Giuliani, now a Donald Trump campaign adviser, said he would have prosecuted Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton over her handling of classified information in emails as Secretary of State.

FBI Director James Comey did not recommend charges against Clinton for her handling of classified information and use of a private email server during her tenure at the state department, saying, “Although there is evidence of potential violations regarding the handling of classified information, our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case.”

Giuliani strongly disagreed, saying he would have brought a case against Clinton.

“Many reasonable prosecutors have come to the conclusion that they would have brought such a case, I would have brought such a case. I would have won such a case,” Giuliani, who is also a former New York City mayor, said on ABC’s “This Week.”
