THE COMMON CONSTITUTIONALIST
2 SETS OF JUSTICE IN MEDIEVAL AMERICA
Exclusive: Brent Smith notes pair of military men hammered while Hillary skates
Unlike Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton is apparently fighting for the little guy. She wants the top of the income pyramid to finally pay their fair share. For too long the little guy has been getting the shaft, while the rich and privileged get away with not paying up, not being held accountable – and Hillary will rectify this.
It’s almost as if there are two systems in place in America – one for the rich and powerful and one for Hillary’s little guys – just like it was in medieval Europe: justice for the lords and a different kind of justice for the serfs.
This is the state of America’s justice system today. More than any, officials in government are supposed to be beyond reproach. Due to the trust bestowed them by the citizens, they are held to a higher standard. But some abuse this trust. Some government officials use their position to enrich themselves. Ironically, Hillary Clinton (and husband Bill), the defender of the little guy, is the biggest abuser of them all.
We’ve all heard of the fortune they have amassed, well over $160 million, without producing anything or selling anyone anything. I guess that’s not exactly true, though. They are selling something – influence – right under our noses.
And then there are the countless security clearance violations by Hillary which would land the little guy in prison. A little guy like former Navy machinist mate Kristian Saucier.
The 22-year-old Saucier took six photos of classified areas of the nuclear submarine he was assigned to. He said he did so, “only to be able to show his family and future children what he did while he was in the Navy.” His attorney said: “It was a foolish mistake by a very young man. It’s a very sad case because Kristian Saucier is a fine young man. We don’t believe this was really his true character.”
For his singular mistake, Saucier was sentenced to a year in prison, a fine, six months home confinement, 100 hours of community service and is banned from owning a gun. What the gun thing has to do with it is beyond me, but hey, he’s a little guy. Oh, and his military service will be forever tarnished as he will also receive an “other than honorable discharge” from the Navy. I wouldn’t say his life is ruined by his early 20s, but he’s going to have a tough go of it.
Then there is the much greater publicized case of former Navy SEAL Team Six member and 14 year veteran Matt Bissonnette, who wrote the best-seller “No Easy Day,” under the pseudonym Mark Owen. The book, for those unfamiliar, recounts the raid on Osama bin Laden’s Pakistan compound.
Our government claimed he didn’t receive prior clearance to write the book and filed suit against him.
Bissonnette said that he “acted on the advice of my former attorney, but now I fully recognize that this advice was wrong. It was a serious error that I urge others not to repeat.”
For his error in judgment, Matt was forced to settle with the Obama Justice Department, headed by Loretta “Tarmac” Lynch, to the tune of $6.64 million, which is an estimate of all book proceeds – past, present and future.
Without knowing the details of either case, it appears both the military men were wrong, and both have paid dearly for their singular indiscretions. But again, such is the plight of the little guy – the serf.
In an ultimate act of irony, a Justice Department spokesperson said, “It is important for our service members and individuals who have been assigned positions of trust and granted access to classified information to comply with the obligations set forth in their non-disclosure agreements to protect classified information. …”
Knowing what we know of Hillary, how does one even respond to something like that?
There are probably countless stories like these, where the little guy, the serf, has a single lapse in judgment for which he or she must pay a very steep price, yet the rich and powerful Hillary Clinton is untouchable.
And for the Justice Department, this Justice Department, to say that all should be held accountable is utterly laughable, if it weren’t so serious and shameful.
A lying, cheating lowlife like Hillary Clinton skates as one young serviceman has his life ruined and a Navy SEAL, a true man of valor, is left virtually destitute.
Welcome to medieval America.
