BOOM: Atheist Called Ben Carson a “Moron” for Believing in God… He Shut Him Down in 1 Brilliant Line
Once, when an atheist called him a “moron” for believing in God, Dr. Ben Carson responded with one brilliant line that put the atheist in his place.
“I believe I came from God, and you believe you came from a monkey,” he told the individual, “and you’ve convinced me you’re right.”
Carson was speaking at the recently held Faith and Freedom Conference as part of his campaign to become the next president of the United States.
At that conference, he recalled the debate and confrontation in which he delivered the one liner to the atheist who was known for bullying anyone who professed a belief in a superior being.
Carson’s response to the atheist was lauded on Twitter. One Carson supporter noted, however, that the atheist was more likely evolved from a jackass rather than a monkey.
The neurosurgeon has a history of tangling with atheists.
Shortly before announcing his candidacy, he publicly confronted an atheist group that was demanding that Bibles be taken out of hotels managed by the U.S. Navy.
Carson pointed out, however, that atheism, whether or not it is considered a religion in its own right, is still a set of beliefs. Therefore, by forcing their beliefs on others, atheists are guilty of the same actions they contend they are fighting against.
“It is extremely hypocritical of the (atheist group members) to request the removal of Bibles from hotel rooms on the basis of their contention that the presence of Bibles indicates that the government is choosing one religion over another,” he said. “If they really thought about it, they would realize that removal of religious materials imposes their religion on everyone else.” (H/T Western Journalism)
But, of course, the atheists don’t think about it that way and aren’t likely to in the future.
Thankfully, we have Dr. Ben Carson to remind the atheists of their hypocrisy.
