President Obama sent out a quick Twitter reaction to the Supreme Court’s pro-gay marriage ruling, summing up his support for the ruling with a single hashtag: “#LoveWins,” he wrote.
In an accompanying tweeted message, he also said: “Today is a big step in our march toward equality. Gay and lesbian couples now have the right to marry, just like anyone else.”
Obama in 2008 stood in opposition to gay marriage. But he reversed that stance a few years later, in time for the 2012 presidential election. And in a reception this week to recognize LGBT Pride Month, Obama cheered the rapid expansion of gay marriage rights across the nation.
“When I became president,” he said then, the Hill reported, “same-sex marriage was legal in only two states. Today, it’s legal in 37 states and the District of Columbia. A decade ago, politicians ran against LGBT rights. Today, they’re running towards them.”
The 5-4 ruling Friday from the high court means gay marriage is legal in all 50 states.

Today, the so called Supreme Court, ESTABLISHED the Religion of STATE: Godless, Socialist Secular Humanism--Where everyone does what is right in their own eyes as long as the STATE approves. Hell Widens Its Mouth to receive the Perpetrators and Participants of this Evil Religion--A Religion in Absolute Defiance of God and His Word.
