Satan worshippers aren’t happy with the delay in success for their attempt to have the Ten Commandments removed from Oklahoma’s Statehouse property. Instead of waiting to see what the outcome of the lawsuit will be, they’re hell-bent on further provoking insult from the Christian community by working to place a massive satanic statue/display on the public grounds.

In January the Satanic Temple announced plans to erect a monument glorifying the Dark Lord on the front lawn of the Oklahoma Statehouse. An Indiegogo campaign was launched with what seemed like a somewhat lofty goal of $20,000, but by the time donations ended almost $30,000 had been raised. Now an artist trained in classical sculpture is toiling away in New York, crafting a Baphomet figure sitting beneath an inverted pentagram and flanked by two children gazing upward in loyalty. When it is finished, it will be cast in bronze and, the Satanists hope, eventually displayed in Oklahoma.

The Ten Commandments statue was not funded by taxpayers. A member of the OK legislature footed the bill. Satanists are seeking to do the same and using this as the basis for the permit application.

The Ten Commandments has a direct connection to the state legislature. It’s a sort of moral foundation, or moral code of conduct that probably aligns well with the desires of Oklahoma’s legislative agenda. On the flip side of this, the Satanic statue seems to be a move of revenge for the Ten Commandments statue being allowed.

Personally I’m not opposed to multiple religions, or lack thereof, being represented on public grounds. But intent has to be considered in the application process. Clearly the intent the Satanists have here is malicious and aimed at getting revenge against those whom they disagree with.

And I don’t feel that is an appropriate use of the property.

My comments: How low can America Go? With Satan there are no limits to how low America can go. There Is One True God, Christ Jesus, and He warns about IDOLATRY, which is the worship of any other "god."“You shall have no other gods before me. “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.
