Faith
in Christ Jesus is believing that He is the Son of God
And
that He came to earth to Save those
Who
would put ALL their Faith Hope and Trust in Him.
Saved
from what?
Saved
from the Power of Satan who rules this wicked world;
Saved from Eternal Death in Hell, the destination of all who do not believe.
(John 3:18)
The
first step of Faith is Repentance.
We
have all Sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God [Romans 3:23];
We
were all born Sinners, born incapable of not Sinning.
The
only way out of this condition, which condemns us before God,
Is to
be Born again; Born of the Spirit of God [John 3:7].
Only
the Spirit of God living in and through us
Can
keep us from Sinning against God, as we submit our will to His will.
It is
the Power of the Spirit of God alone, living in us and through us,
That
keeps us from Sinning against God.
It
is the blood of Christ Jesus alone that allows God to Forgive us.
God's
Perfect Law demands that there can be no Forgiveness of Sin
Without
the shedding of Blood [Hebrews 9:22].
Christ
Jesus came to the earth to provide Forgiveness for those
Who
would put ALL their Faith, Hope and Trust in Him
By the
shedding of His blood on the Cross of Calvary.
Water
Baptism is the Symbol of our being Cleansed of our Sin.
We go
down into the water as a Symbol of the death and burial of Christ.
When
we come up out of the water it is a Symbol His Resurrection;
Of our
having been made New in Christ—Cleansed of our Sin.
Now,
by Faith, we have been Saved out of this World—
Forgiven--Cleansed.
Now we
must Overcome this wicked World we find ourselves in [Rev. 12:11].
Now we
must have the Power of God to enable us
To
Overcome this wicked world, ruled by Satan.
We
must receive Power from God--
We
must be Baptized, Immersed in the Holy Spirit by Christ Jesus,
Just
as the 120 were on the Day of Pentecost [Acts 2]--
We
must have our personal Day of Pentecost
With
the evidence of speaking in tongues—
A new
spiritual language given to us by God
To
build ourselves up in the Spirit of God [1 Corinthians 14:4; Jude 20].
With
the Power of God—Christ living in and through us--
By
submitting our will to His Perfect will--
We are
capable of Overcoming this wicked World.
Christ
in us is greater than Satan.
We can
do all things through Christ Who strengthens us [Philippians 4:13]--
Now
Christ can do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine,
According
to His Power that is at work within us [Ephesians 3:20].
When
Christ Jesus addressed the Seven Churches [Revelation 2-3]
He
never mentions being Saved but rather Overcoming. Listen:
He
who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the Churches.
To
him who Overcomes, I will give the right to eat from The Tree Of
LIFE,
Which
is in the Paradise of God. (Revelation 2:7)
What
are the attributes of those who Overcome?
Maintaining
out First Love for Christ Jesus; Perseverance; Hard work;
Purity
of living; Staying alive in Christ; Enduring patiently.
These
are attributes of those who Overcome;
Those
who will be kept from the Hour of Trial
That
is going to come upon the Whole World
To
Test those who live on the earth. (Revelation 3:10)
How
did the saints in the past describe the Gospel, the Good News?
You
must be water washed, blood washed, filled with the Spirit
And
walking in the Light of Christ.
Jesus
Saves, Jesus Heals, Jesus Baptizes in the Holy Spirit
And
Jesus is Coming Soon.
Those
who Overcome will always be reading The Word of God.
Christ
Jesus is The Word of God [John 1:14].
To
know Him you must read His Word.
This
is Eternal LIFE: To “Know” Him [John 17:3].
This
is the New Covenant declares the Lord:
'I
will put My Law in their minds and write it on their hearts.
I
will be their God and they will be My people.
No
longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother,
Saying
'Know the Lord,'
Because
they will all know Me from the least of them to the greatest.
(Jeremiah
31:33-34; Hebrews 8:10-11)
But
you have an Anointing from the Holy One,
And
all of you know the Truth. (1 John 2:20)
As
for you, the Anointing you received form Him remains in you,
And
you do not need anyone to teach you.
But
as His Anointing teaches you about all things
And
as that Anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught
you,
Remain
IN HIM. (1 John 2:27)
