God’s Space Station – by Florence Simmons
“Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight” (Hebrews 4:13, NIV).
Technology has so escalated that we now worry about the amount of information known about us and if we will have any privacy. For some time, the Space Stations' all-seeing eye, from its lofty position, has been able to pin-point like a laser exact locations on earth. Now the development of drones makes us feel as if there are eyes watching our every movement.
To have an all-seeing eye watching from above is really not a new concept. In fact, there has been a penetrating eye on the whole earth since it was formed. If we were secretly planning a scheme, God certainly would know. His eye penetrates a person’s innermost being and “judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart” (4:12). “Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give an account.”
Unlike the world, which has a hostile agenda, God’s eye watches over His own in order to protect and keep them. He caringly assesses any dangers ahead and sends His angels to guard us from harm. The Psalmist reminds us, “The Lord will keep you from all harm‒he will watch over your coming and going” (Psalm 121, NIV). I have experienced His protection many times, and so have you. I’m glad God’s penetrating eye is extraordinary and up to date, aren’t you?
