Shalom!
Jeremiah 29:11-13
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart."
Knowing that we are to seek first His Kingdom we come to understand our Christ identity with joy and expectation with a mindset of advancing His Kingdom.
God wants us to be connected to what He is ready to do currently with regard to His PURPOSE for our life.
We are ready for God to move us out of the confines and limitations of what we have experienced in the past.
We cannot spend our time worshiping at the altar of yesterday -- there are things that we are just not able to fix. Passionless, feckless, Laodicean living is to be replaced by being possessed by the fire of the Holy Spirit.
The good news is that God will restore things from the past in the present.
That should give us great comfort and peace that we can rest, leave things alone, pursue Him and watch Him do His work.
Joel 2:25-27
"So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you.
You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; and My people shall never be put to shame.
Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel: I am the Lord your God And there is no other.
My people shall never be put to shame."
Amen
