Friend,
“We have received disturbing allegations that individuals at the Transgender Center at St. Louis Children’s Hospital have been harming hundreds of children each year, including by using experimental drugs on them,” says Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey.
“We take this evidence seriously and are thoroughly investigating to make sure children are not harmed by individuals who may be more concerned with a radical social agenda than the health of children.”
The MO Division of Professional Registration, which manages the licenses of physicians and clinicians to practice, is also investigating, as is the Missouri Department of Social Services.
To ensure that patients and parents are “fully aware of the nature of these allegations,” the MO attorney general has released the whistleblowers full, sworn affidavit to the public.
“The sworn affidavit asserts, among other things, that individuals at the Center are using experimental drugs on children, distributing puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones without individualized assessment, and even giving children these life-altering drugs without parental consent,” according to AG Bailey.
“The whistleblower says that the actions taken by the Center have led children to attempt suicide and that the Center never discontinues prescribing cross-sex hormones, no matter how much those drugs are harming the child.
The whistleblower also has provided documentary evidence that the Center has been unlawfully billing state taxpayers to fund these actions,” AG Baily continued.
Jamie Reed was a case worker at the clinic for over four years. Despite being “queer” and married to a “trans-man,” Reed blew the whistle on the clinic because the treatments were harming the children. Reed says she is “left of Bernie Sanders” but could remain silent no longer.
The clinic is more interested in getting kids on puberty blockers, cross-sex drugs and mutilating surgeries than treating their mental health.
But this clinic is the norm, not the exception.
That is why we are aggressively fighting to take down laws that ban lifesaving counsel for these children.
Clinicians and those harmed by these doctors from around the world are telling similar tales about these clinics.
Marcus Evans, a psychotherapist for more than 40 years, worked at the U.K.’s Tavistock gender clinic. While “transgenderism” was extremely rare, suddenly a flood of prepubescent girls with clusters from the same area or school appeared, which suggested social contagion was the cause.
Evans, along with many other doctors, urged the clinic to return to traditional psychotherapy instead of risky drug and surgical treatments.
But “the political tail was wagging the clinical dog,” Evans says. Clinic management simply refused to even look at the disastrous side effects.
Just like at Jamie Reed’s clinic in Missouri, London’s Tavistock clinic just kept processing prescriptions and sending kids to the operating tables as fast as they could get them there.
So many Tavistock employees and patients have become whistleblowers that the British government was forced to shut down the Tavistock clinic, declaring it “unsafe” in August 2022. Former employees charge that the clinic was “over diagnosing” gender dysphoria.
This week, it was announced that nearly 1,000 former Tavistock patients and parents are suing the clinic for the irreversible damage done to them.
“Children and young adolescents were rushed into treatment without the appropriate therapy and involvement of the right clinicians,” says Tom Goodhead, who represents many of the families harmed by Tavistock, “meaning that they were misdiagnosed and started on a treatment pathway that was not right for them. These children have suffered life-changing and, in some cases, irreversible effects of the treatment they received.”
Australian law professor Patrick Parkinson notes that he expects similar lawsuits in the land down under, including lawsuits against hospitals performing these surgeries and the doctors prescribing these drugs. “Sooner or later,” Prof. Parkinson says, “this is going to end up in the courts as a negligence issue.”
Other countries, like Sweden and Finland, have banned transgender services for minors. America needs to do the same.
Missouri is investigating the abuses because one concerned citizen raised the alarm. You can help raise the alarm in the rest of the states and in Congress, as well. Tell legislators to BAN this chemical and surgical abuse.
In addition to our work with state legislatures and Congress, Liberty Counsel is protecting our children through the court system. Numerous cities and states around the country have banned Christian talk therapy for gender dysphoria and unwanted same-sex desires.
Liberty Counsel just WON two major victories at the Court of Appeals overturning counseling bans. As a result of our work, families can seek and receive lifesaving counsel in Florida, Alabama and Georgia. We continue fighting to overturn these disastrous “change counsel” bans everywhere.
WE NEED YOUR HELP to rescue these children from a lifetime of pain and regret! Please make a recurring monthly donation to support our legal work. Thankfully, a Challenge Grant has been established to DOUBLE THE IMPACT of every donation made today.
