The envy of the worldDear Friend, Next week will mark George Washington’s 291st Birthday. Whereas Washington and his fellow founders were revered and looked up to in the past, they’re now maligned and viewed with suspicion. On Truths That Transform, Dr. Kennedy will shed light on “George Washington, The Christian.” And we’ll provide an excerpt from a new documentary that looks at those who gave us the U.S. Constitution and a system of government that has stood the test of time. This new documentary, We the People, is a production of our own Providence Forum, which is dedicated to preserving, defending, and advancing the Judeo-Christian values of our nation’s founding. You can be a voice for Christ and bring hope Your generosity now brings the gospel, Biblical truth for all of life, and abundant hope to listeners nationwide. Please stand with us today! "Chronological Snobbery" One of the more troubling characteristics of our current age is the urge to cut ourselves off from anything in our past. C.S. Lewis referred to this as “chronological snobbery”—which is basically the idea that we know everything today, and those who came before us were ignorant and backward. Nowhere does this show itself more clearly than in the Left’s fixation with erasing our nation’s founding fathers. I’ll look at where this arrogant and pervasive attitude is taking us in my Truths That Transform commentary. | ||||||
