Friend,
Kierra* says she was far too young to fully comprehend what she was asking for. A lifetime tomboy who didn’t fit in with her classmates at school, Kierra says she sought help from a local clinic that claimed to specialize in “gender confusion.”
After just three short appointments, and not a word of caution or admonishment from the doctors or clinic personnel, Kierra was railroaded down a path that would forever change her life and appearance for the worse.
About 80 U.S. cities and states still have laws banning these precious young people of life and natural gender-affirming, Bible-based Christian counseling.
If Kierra had been allowed such counseling before puberty blockers were prescribed, or surgeries performed, she might not be stuck in this terrifying new reality.
That is why Liberty Counsel is defending the right of patients young and old, patients like Kierra, to voluntarily receive “the other side of the story” — not only what the Bible has to say about gender and sex, but also what science has to say about “gender reassignment.”
Unfortunately, in the 80 cities and states in question, science is shoved to the side in favor of a radical LGBTQ agenda that preys on the vulnerabilities and passing feelings common to many pubescent children.
Scientific studies show that more than 85-plus percent of all “gender confused” children grow out of their confusion and go on to lead healthy, happy lives as the person who God made. Furthermore, science tells us that suicide rates among people who have undergone “sex reassignment” are exponentially higher than both the general public and homosexual individuals.
But radical LGBTQ activists do not want silly things like facts or science to get in the way of their deadly agenda — so they want to ban them.
Our victory last year in Otto v. City of Boca Raton and Palm Beach County was crucial for protecting the life and health of people suffering from gender dysphoria. But even more importantly, the Otto case was about protecting the right of patients to seek Bible-based Christian counseling for their children.
And our victory this month in Vazzo v. City of Tampa continued our winning streak at the federal court of appeals. We have now secured the first and second wins against these terrible counseling bans.
In reality, bans on “change counseling” also ban Christian counseling. And NO government should EVER be able to tell citizens that they cannot seek counseling that aligns with their religious beliefs.
Praise God, WE WON Otto with a court ruling overturning the bans on Christian counseling in Florida, Georgia and Alabama. However, nearly 80 other cities and states continue to ban this lifesaving Christian counseling.
There is hope and help for those who suffer — as long as we fight to keep “change counsel” legal. We need YOUR HELP to continue the fight for life and liberty.
We have just come through one of the most significant and expensive years in Liberty Counsel history, and 2023 expenses are expected to be just as high. The attacks on religious freedom, on the family and on helpless babies are coming more frequently and more viciously.
A “Victory in 2023” Challenge Grant has been established to fund our legal battles by DOUBLING THE IMPACT of every donation made today. Don’t miss this chance to have YOUR IMPACT DOUBLED. Please give generously today so we can continue to fight for kids like Kierra!
