5 Reasons America is More than Ready for the Antichrist
There are several specific reasons why most people in America are primed and ready to accept the man of sin and his globalist system. 1. Increased acceptance of an irrational, anti-God agenda — Anyone who's paying attention can obviously see that America has been spiraling toward nearly everything that's anti-God for over 50 years. For those of us who are in our 50s, 60s and beyond, we remember a time when the majority of individuals in the U.S. either attempted to follow or at least respected biblical principles. We remember a time when things such as third-term abortion, explicit pornography and a truth-is-relative mentality was not acceptable in mainstream society. Our nation has changed dramatically in a relatively short period of time. We now live in a society that has separated itself from nearly every standard and truth based on God's reality. In doing so, we have created a chaotic reality where everyone does what "is right in his own eyes." People are praised for living their own truth. The Antichrist will propose ideas and solutions that will be obviously absurd to the rational mind but will seem normal to those who have rejected truth and are under a delusion. 2. Increased watering down of biblical doctrine — For 2,000 years, nearly every church and denomination, Catholic or Protestant, deemed marriage to be between one man and one woman. This wasn't debatable. During the last 10 years or so, dozens of churches and denominations have not only eagerly reinterpreted Scripture, but are no longer embracing the basic tenets of the Christian faith as absolute truth. Basic elements of the Apostles Creed—the Virgin birth, the Resurrection and the existence of heaven and hell—are no longer accepted by many within the church. Of course, there were false teachings since the early church and much of the New Testament speaks of this. The watering down of Scripture and the drifting away from sound doctrine that we're currently seeing, however, seems unprecedented. There are 31,102 verses in the Bible. Besides love everyone and do not judge, many churches are increasingly choosing to ignore most of the other verses. Whenever the Antichrist makes his way onto the scene, he will unfortunately have little trouble leading millions of biblically illiterate "Christians" astray. 3. Increased acceptance of government dependency and control — More than 50 percent of Americans currently depend on the government for some sort of social program or financial assistance. During the last several decades. millions of Americans have increasingly adopted the entitlement attitude. There is no longer any shame for able-bodied individuals to live solely and permanently off the government. Of course, the more people rely on the government to take care of them, the more power and control the government has over them. A self-sufficient, reliable citizenry would not be as accepting of a dominant world leader taking away freedoms while making unrealistic promises. We've come a long way from JFK's, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country." The Antichrist won't have much trouble manipulating an entitled, dependent populace. 4. Increased acceptance of Christian persecution — Although persecution in certain parts of the globe has been rampant since the early church, the last few years in particular have seen a major increase in anti-Christian sentiment in the United States. There were not many cases, if any, against Christians for displaying crosses, nativities or having Bibles on their desks in the workplace 20 or 30 years ago. These types of lawsuits now occur on a regular basis. This isn't happening in just the liberal areas of the country. John Kluge, a teacher in Indiana, was forced to resign because he wouldn't call a transgender student by their new name or use different pronouns. In 2018, a Crossfit executive in Indianapolis was fired for stating that marriage was between a man and a woman when he canceled a Pride Month event. Christians are now routinely fined or fired for their beliefs—beliefs that until recently mainstream society accepted. If history is any indication, once a particular group becomes completely marginalized, violence and bloodshed is not far behind. Once the Antichrist appears, he'll have little trouble getting the public to turn against traditional Christianity. 5. Increased acceptance of celebrity worship — When Barrack Obama was elected president in 2008, thousands of people literally wept for joy. They raised their arms in adulation and adored him on a level that went beyond what was natural or normal. Eric Hollander, MD, professor of psychiatry and director of the Compulsive, Impulsive and Anxiety Disorders program at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York City says the number of people who have developed a fascination with celebrities continues to increase exponentially and is a substitution for real life. With technology now providing instant access and images of celebrities, this phenomenon has increased to an epidemic level and has detrimentally affected many lives. When people don't worship God, they will instinctively worship someone or something else. The Antichrist will likely create a stir that will make the commotion surrounding Obama, Elvis and Princess Diana pale in comparison. The masses appear more than ready to engage in a celebrity worship the likes of which the world has never seen. We hear a lot about globalism and the great reset from the mainstream media. The United Nations, the World Health Organization and the World Economic Forum are just a few of the global entities with increasing power and influence. The stage is quickly being set and the new socialist utopia, the new Tower of Babel mankind has been marching toward for decades, is coming together. The Antichrist could appear within a matter of only a few years to take his place at the helm of the new globalist system. Of course, this new world order will not ultimately end well for humanity. It won't be a highly evolved state of utopia with the citizens of the world living in unending peace, harmony and fulfilment. But the Bible predicted this centuries ago, and while it ends badly for the world, it ends gloriously for those who have put their trust in our redeemer, Jesus Christ.
