Lack God’s Peace? Here’s Why
“Now why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? Luke 6:46 NASB
Jesus told those who loved Him how to have His peace in all things, knowing that excruciating trials, destruction and death at the hands of the religious leaders and Romans were ahead.
He gave them a prescription for His peace in all circumstances.
1. Do not let your heart be troubled or afraid. God has everything handled in the big picture.
Peace I leave you, My peace I give you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, nor fearful. John 14:27 ESV
2. Paul experienced peace and joy through immense suffering.

His secret, DO as Jesus instructed, walk in the Spirit by faith not in the flesh by sight. Look up, set your mind fully on higher, eternal things and build treasure in heaven so our heart will be there too.
Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. Col 3:2 NASB
3. Fix your eyes on Jesus and His promises, not the enemy or his actions.
Looking only at Jesus, the originator and perfecter of the faith… Heb 12:2a NASB
4. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Eph 4:6-7 NASB
5. Faith refuses to be troubled, anxious, worried or afraid, one day at a time.
“So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matt 6:34 NASB
6. The wise, love Him and DO as He instructs.
“Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts on them, will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” Matt 7:24 NASB
But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not just hearers who deceive themselves. James 1:22 NASB
His peace awaits those who hear and DO.
