Fellow American,
They came for our churches and our fundamental right to worship God once already.
And now, with COVID-19 cases on the rise again and the Delta variant sweeping the nation, the extreme, anti-religious liberty left may see just the chance they’ve been looking for to shut down our churches again.
We witnessed it firsthand last year, when power-hungry, anti-Christian governors, mayors, and other elected officials shamelessly used the coronavirus as an excuse to shut down Christian worship in America.
At a time when struggling men, women, and children needed the support and encouragement of their faith and their community more than ever, petty, despotic tyrants in government used the coronavirus crisis to suspend freedom of worship ... take away our right to assemble ... and muzzle our ability to speak freely.
- New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio warned religious leaders that their places of worship could be shut down permanently if they did not follow the city's shutdown of services during the coronavirus pandemic.
- Kentucky’s governor announced he would record the license plate numbers of those attending Easter church services and subject them to a mandatory 14-day quarantine.
- A California Board of Supervisors restricted churches from even streaming worship singing as well as the playing of wind instruments in online church services not originating from individual residences.
- At a Mississippi church, police issued $500 fines to congregants who refused to leave a parking lot where a drive-in service was being conducted, even though church members say they were following social distancing guidelines.
Thank God we had President Trump and other leaders who refused to allow our churches to be permanently closed under the guise of “public safety.”
But one thing I can guarantee -- if the left comes for our churches again, the Biden-Harris Administration sure won’t be standing up for our right to worship freely!
That should come as no surprise to you, seeing how Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have shown their eagerness to impose the most anti-religious liberty policies in America’s history. And if the Left wins big in the critical 2022 midterm elections -- they will only get more vicious.
That’s why our 2022 Project for the Midterm Elections is so critical. It’s up to us to put it all on the line to elect leaders who will fight to PROTECT our religious liberty -- instead of doing everything they can to shut us down.
As I write to you today, the Faith & Freedom team is hard at work:
— Contacting eligible Christian voters at their doors, by phone, email, and text, and at special church voter registration drives to make sure 6 MILLION new voters are registered before the 2022 midterm elections;
— Preparing to reach MILLIONS of young people with our new pro-America, pro-faith, and pro-freedom training program to teach students the truth about our country, ensure they can defend American history and our shared values, and launch them into careers in politics, government, and media; and
— Working diligently with conservative leaders in Washington, D.C., and state capitols across the country to enact pro-life, pro-religious liberty laws and stop the far left’s radical agenda in its tracks.
