Alone with God but Not Lonely
Robert Schaetzle
And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. Now when evening came, He was alone there. Matthew 14:23 NKJV
Over the years walking with our Lord, I have come to recognize a calm and wise discernment from being alone with Him, in the power of His presence.

When our heart becomes overwhelmed with fear and uncertainty, those quiet moments listening for the Spirits promptings, are priceless.
No wonder our Lord Jesus would often look forward to solitude with His Father.
So precious are those moments, being still before the Creator of the universe.
So precious are those moments, being still before the Creator of the universe.
If we’re truly honest with ourselves, it can be challenging to say nothing, when the heart feels anxious.
However, we can better hear His spiritual promptings when we are quiet and yielded to Him.
Once we have His wisdom, peace, and guidance in His will, were assured that when we do speak, He hears us.
Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. 1 John 5:14-15
Thank you, Father, for those seasons in my life that have taught me how to listen better and recognize your Holy Spirit.

Thank you, Father, for those seasons in my life that have taught me how to listen better and recognize your Holy Spirit.
My moments alone with you are never lonely.
Thank you that in your presence, great truths have been revealed to me by your grace, leading me to pray the promises in your Word that unleash your peace and power in my life.
Your presence and Word never fail to bring blessed assurance to me.
Thank you, Holy Spirit, for being my helper and comforter, AMEN
