President Trump slams ‘disgraceful’ AG Jeff Sessions over investigation of FISA warrants

President Trump slammed his attorney general on Wednesday, calling his lack of action “disgraceful” regarding possible abuses in the surveillance system.
“Why is A.G. Jeff Sessions asking the Inspector General to investigate potentially massive FISA abuse. Will take forever, has no prosecutorial power and already late with reports on Comey etc. Isn’t the I.G. an Obama guy? Why not use Justice Department lawyers? DISGRACEFUL!” Mr. Trump tweeted.

Mr. Sessions said Tuesday that his department’s inspector general is looking into whether the FBI properly handled the FISA warrants for members of Mr. Trump’s presidential campaign, but Mr. Trump said action is not sufficient.
Mr. Sessions made the remarks at a news conference to announce a new opioid task force.
This is not the first time Mr. Trump has disparaged Mr. Sessions on social media. The friction began when Mr. Sessions recused himself from all matters relating to the Russia investigation, which is now being handled by special prosecutor Robert Mueller.
His recusal has continued to cause tensions within the administration.

My comments: It was chicken hearted for AG Sessions to have recused himself in the Russian Collusion Investigation, and now he is again chicken hearted by not using DOJ attorneys to investigate the FISA abuse. If Comey, Rosenstein, Lynch, McCabe and the rest get away with FISA abuse, there is no law in America any more, and we are headed for a Police State.
