Leading Muslim figure Ali Selim backs female genital mutilation
The Muslim leader Ali Salem justifies his vicious misogyny this way. “female genital mutilation but I am an advocate of female circumcision.” This is a distinction without difference.
Dr Ali Selim says circumcision should be carried out if advised by a medical doctor. What legitimate doctor would ever prescribe such savagery. Muslim doctors in the US have been indicted for this barbaric act. Their defense – religious freedom.
The gruesome practice of female genital mutilation is at record highs and on the rise in America due to the influx of Muslim immigrants.
Our group, the American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI), released an alarming video, filmed at Columbia University, showing that at Columbia, an Ivy League school and one of the nation’s foremost centers of higher learning, most students are willing to condone female genital mutilation.
FGM involves partial or total removal of the clitoris causing injury to the female genital organs for non-medical reasons. It has no health benefits for girls and women,
and removes all possibility of sexual pleasure. It is the worst kind of misogyny. Procedures can cause severe bleeding and problems urinating, and later cysts, infections, as well as complications in childbirth and increased risk of newborn deaths.
The enemedia always goes out of its way to cover for and scrub Islam from any connection with this misogynistic Islamic practice. Authorities will never be able to address the problem adequately because they’re too busy going out their way to say that it is not Islamic in practice Female genital mutilation (FGM) or clitoridectomy is an Islamic tradition, rampant in the Muslim world.

“In fact, genital disfigurement has become so common in America’s immigrant communities that the Department of Justice has taken to printing Arabic brochures for immigrants, encouraging them not to disfigure young girls by removing their sexual organs.”
A couple of years ago, the American Academy of Pediatrics advocated that American doctors be allowed to stick girls’ clitorises with a needle, so as to satisfy Muslim families’ demand for female genital mutilation: “It might be more effective if federal and state laws enabled pediatricians to reach out to families by offering a ritual nick as a possible compromise to avoid greater harm.”

Irish Times, February 9, 2017Dr Ali Selim of the Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland has said he advocates female circumcision.Female circumcision, also termed female genital mutilation (FGM), is illegal under the Criminal Justice (Female Genital Mutilation) Act 2012.It is estimated that 5,790 girls and women living in Ireland have experienced FGM and some 2,639 girls here may be at risk of being subjected to it.Under 2012 legislation, not only is FGM prohibited in Ireland, it is also a criminal offence for a person to take a girl to another country to undergo it.“I’m not an advocate of female genital mutilation but I am an advocate of female circumcision. We see female circumcision in the same way we see male circumcision. It might be needed for one person and not another, and it has to be done by a doctor and practised in a safe environment,” Dr Selim told RTÉ’s Prime Time.
‘Not an obligation’“The same medical reason that would justify male circumcision would be the same for females. It is not an obligation, but it should be allowed by law if needed and a medical doctor can decide if it is needed or not,” he said.“People by nature are different and their organs are different. What one person needs is not necessarily needed by another, and it should be determined by a doctor,” he said.“It is always been portrayed as ‘horrible’ or ‘barbaric’ or ‘mutilation’ and is portrayed as a dark-skin practice or from the dark ages,” he said.“If it is an inherited practice it does not mean it has to done, but it has to be considered, and not rejected because it is inherited,” he said.When asked whether he believed it should be carried out for cultural or religious reasons, he said: “In the Koran it says clearly, ask of the people of knowledge if you do not know, so it means you ask a medical doctor,” he said.He said people need a medical expert to tell them if a circumcision it is needed or not.“If a doctor advises it is needed, then it has to be done. Religion says it does not have to be practised, our religion says to ask the people with knowledge,” he said.Dr Selim said he would be against the idea of people going outside of Ireland to have the procedure carried out on their children.“You can’t stop people leaving… It is against the law to practice abortion but people just cross the border and ‘do abortion’ and come back. If you take your daughter abroad for a circumcision, you need to ask your doctor.
