WATCH JONATHAN CAHN PRAY WITH CONGRESS – LIVE
'Harbinger Man' to reprise his thundering 2015 oratio
Last year, it caused a worldwide sensation.
It’s likely to be at least that big this year.
Rabbi Jonathan Cahn will be addressing this year’s “Washington: A Man of Prayer” event on Capitol Hill Wednesday night.
At last year’s event, the author of the New York Times bestseller “The Harbinger” and the subject of the blockbuster documentary film “The Harbinger Man” spoke on the theological implications of redefining marriage.
The event was just before five lawyers on the U.S. Supreme Court decided to toss out millennia of traditional Judeo-Christian precedent and impose “gay marriage” on the United States, an action the dissenting four justices found was unconnected to the Constitution.
“Follow Baal and go to hell!” thundered Cahn in a fiery address warning the nation’s Supreme Court against defying God’s commandments.
The speech became an online sensation, with more than 11 million people viewing it on on just one of the social networking sites where it was posted.
As shown by the Supreme Court imposing homosexual marriage on the nation soon after, Cahn’s warning was not heeded.
“America is at a critical point,” Cahn told WND before this year’s prayer event.
“The last time I spoke on Capitol Hill, it was the day after the Supreme Court heard the case that would decide the future of marriage in America. I addressed some of my words to the Supreme Court and some to the president. I was led to issue a warning about the nation crossing that line. Two months later that line was crossed when America struck down the order of God. Since then, we’ve only been accelerating in our calling of evil good and good evil.”
Cahn argued last year America is exchanging “our light for darkness” by rebelling against God and is therefore inviting divine judgment.
“If a nation’s high court should pass judgment on the Almighty, should you then be surprised God will pass judgment on the court and that nation? We are doing that which Israel did on the altars of Baal,” he said then.
See his oration from 2015:
Now, Cahn believes America is following the same pattern of rebellion against God which he laid out in “The Harbinger.”
“The template of ‘The Harbinger’ is that of a nation in rapid departure from God, having been warned by God, but having rejected that warning and responding in defiance and increasing its apostasy,” he said. “This is the template that America is following. And as we reach the end of the Obama years, America’s fall from God has dramatically deepened and quickened.
“And as we now approach a presidential election, the stakes are even higher.”
“Washington: A Man of Prayer” is designed to serve as a Christian answer to the rebellion against God at this critical time by offering what the event’s website calls “penitent prayers from inside the nation’s Capitol.”
The event also serves as a counter to the persistent myth George Washington was a deist rather than a man of faith.
This year’s “Washington: A Man of Prayer” celebration will be held on April 27, 2016, at 6:30 EST and will be livestreamed by WND. Honorary hosts this year include Sen. John Boozman of Arkansas and Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers of Washington.
The yearly gathering honors one of George Washington’s first official acts as president.
On April 30, 1789, just after being sworn in, Washington, accompanied by Congress, offered a prayer to God on America’s behalf in St. Paul’s Chapel in New York City. “Washington: A Man of Prayer” commemorates the 227th anniversary of Washington symbolically dedicating the nation to God at the very beginning of the new constitutional order.
The event originated with Pastor Dan Cummins, who held the first “Washington: A Man of Prayer” gathering in 2013.
As it has been every year, the event will be held in Statuary Hall, formerly the Old House Chamber, thanks this year to permission from Speaker of the House Paul Ryan. This location was used for weekly Christian church services from 1800 to 1869 thanks to legislation signed by then-President Thomas Jefferson, as described in David Barton’s “The Jefferson Lies.” The “Washington: A Man of Prayer” annual event represents a restoration of this venerable American tradition.
“The ‘Washington: Man of Prayer’ event began when Dan Cummins was watching the first interview I ever did on ‘The Harbinger,'” Cahn recalled. “It was with Sid Roth. When I spoke of the Mystery Ground, he was led to gather America’s leader for the purpose of prayer and worship. The Lord miraculously opened up the United States Capitol and led members of Congress to take part. We’ve been told it’s the first time in over a hundred years that a worship service has happened in that place.”
Last year, Cummins identified Cahn as “America’s Prophet” after the extraordinary reaction to the messianic rabbi’s 2015 message. Cummins also referred to the “miracle” of securing the “sacred” location several years in a row.
Cahn argues the ability of Christian leaders to deliver powerful warnings against rebellion against God from the very seat of government is an extraordinary sign which national leaders should heed.
“In ancient times, prophetic warnings were given to kings and princes, God’s word to powers and thrones,” he observed. “I believe the Lord has opened this door for, among other things, to speak God’s prophetic word to powers. So my prayer is that this be accomplished.”

And in the End this will mean the RUIN of America. How will this RUIN occur? It will occur exactly as Scripture had Foretold. The Great Apostasy, the Great Falling Away of Faith in Christ Jesus is well underway in America today. At the Apex of this Apostasy, the Antichrist will be Revealed, followed by Three and One-half Years of God's Great Tribulation, God's Great Judgement of Rebellious Mankind. (2 Thessalonian 2; Revelation 13)
