BETWEEN THE LINES
WHAT DEMOCRATS BELIEVE
Exclusive: Joseph Farah sees 'fascism dressed up in the phony garb of benevolence'
The latest email from Barack Obama (and, boy, does he write a lot of them!) explains the difference between his party and that other party.
“In a few months, I’ll be heading into the voting booth to cast my vote for the next president of the United States,” he writes. “And, like so many of you, I’ve spent this primary observing the candidates and the parties, and what they represent. And I have to say, this has been a difficult period for the Republicans. They’re trying to figure out what they’re standing for – whether they will be the party of building walls and surveilling neighborhoods, whether they will be the party that enshrines discrimination in our laws.”
Now let’s stop it right there for a moment.
Have you heard any Republicans advocating the surveilling of neighborhoods? What is that charge all about?
Isn’t it, after all, the federal government – run by Barack Obama over the last nearly eight years – that is famous around the world for surveillance of its citizens?
Here are some recent local news stories you may have missed in this season of national politics:
- DAYTON, Ohio – An East Dayton neighborhood is fighting back for their safety by having 10 surveillance cameras installed along Xenia Avenue. The cameras were purchased with money from a Department of Justice grant.
- MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The federal government has been recruiting tens of thousands of Somalis and resettling them in this city. Living in squalor, they are ripe targets for radicalization efforts by Islamic terror groups like Al-Shabab. So what’s the federal government doing about the crime and poverty it has inflicted on the city? The Justice Department is handing out grants for surveillance cameras. That’s the solution.
- HUNTINGTON, West Virginia – Huntington City Council has accepted grants from the Department of Homeland Security and the Justice Department for the expansion and installation of closed circuit security cameras on the city’s bridges.
I could go on and on with these reports. But you’ve all seen these cameras. They are ubiquitous in cities and towns across America. Maybe you’ve wondered where they come from, who uses them and who pays for them. The expansion of the surveillance society has been exponential during Obama’s eight years in office.
Who’s in charge of the Department of Justice? Isn’t it Barack Obama’s attorney general, Loretta Lynch? If Obama is opposed to surveillance of local neighborhoods, why is his Justice Department redistributing the nation’s wealth by handing out grants for local neighborhoods to spy on people?
It’s worth pointing out that Obama has also presided over the federalization and militarization of local and state police departments across the country. It’s quite a combination when you think about it. Surveillance cameras everywhere, the NSA spying on Americans, the federal government exerting authority over local police departments and providing military-style equipment and training to them.
Who is Obama fooling?
But back to his letter.
“But the good news for Democrats is that we know what we believe. We believe that climate change is real and that we must do something about it,” he writes. “We believe in raising the minimum wage, and that women should be paid the same as men for doing the same job. We believe that our laws should reflect our heritage as a nation of immigrants. We believe that all people should be treated with dignity and respect, no matter their race or religion, gender or sexual orientation.”
That’s what the Democrats stand for – doing something about a phantom, manufactured crisis called “climate change” to increase the federal government’s role in everyone’s life, raising the minimum wage, which will kill jobs and turn millions more to dependence on government, forsaking and overturning the nation’s immigration laws with a stroke of the pen and forcing Americans to pander to a culture of sexual confusion and deviancy.
Do I have that about right?
Let me ask you two questions:
1.How’s the Obama agenda working out for you?
2. Do Democrats have their priorities straight?
2. Do Democrats have their priorities straight?
America is deep into the “fundamental transformation” Obama promised.
Citizenship status is diminished.
The nation is flooded by “refugees” who have no concept of what made America the last great hope for mankind.
The Democrats’ answer to terrorism is throwing open the doors to more potential terrorists.
The world is on fire. But the Democrats say the No. 1 problem facing all of us is “climate change.”
The social climate in America is changing, all right.
But it has nothing to do with the weather forecast.
It has to do with the scorched-earth war on liberty being waged by Democrats and their allies in the media, the universities, the major cultural institutions and corporate boardrooms.
Americans’ freedom is under siege.
What we’re facing is nothing short of fascism dressed up in the phony garb of benevolence and altruism.
