When internationally renowned Bible teacher Kay Arthur needs to explain to her listeners what is really going on in today’s chaos-filled America, she often turns to the new book by bestselling author and WND Managing Editor David Kupelian, “The Snapping of the American Mind.”

At a recent event sponsored by Precept Ministries International, which she co-founded, Arthur started her presentation by telling the large audience, “I made a phone call the other day to a man by the name of David Kupelian. … I said, ‘David, I’m going to Columbus, Georgia, and I am very, very concerned. These are a group of people who are serious about the Word of God, or who have been brought here by people who are serious about the Word of God, and I believe they need to understand what is going on in America, and I believe the book that you have just written is absolutely critical.”

In fact, Arthur told the crowd, she even asked Kupelian to ship her a hundred books so she could offer them at the event.

“I believe if you don’t get it [here], that you need to order it,” she told those in attendance, “and that you need to read this book so you really understand what is happening in America.”

Speaking to WND later, Arthur elaborated on why she considers "The Snapping of the American Mind" such a crucial read.

"When a person's not feeling well, you're going to reach over and take their pulse … to find out the condition of their heart – is their heart operating properly?" she said. "What David does is, he not only helps us feel the pulse of America – in this case [of] America's mind – but he also shows us the condition that is causing us to think this way, and to me that is so enlightening."

Not only does Kupelian diagnose America’s ills, adds Arthur, but he presents a cure, and thus hope, in his final chapter titled "Messiahs False and True."

Kupelian also offers cutting-edge practical steps for Americans to stay sane, secure and happy in his second-to-last chapter, titled "Freedom."

Arthur compared the progression of the book's chapters to that of exploratory surgery: Each step revealing more and more so that by the end, Kupelian has given readers a complete picture of what ails America, as well as how it can be healed.

"I think as you read it, it progressively gets more enlightening, more informative," she said. "Sometimes you get the biggest bang at the beginning of a book, but in this book it unfolds, and so as it does you're not disappointed; you're more enlightened, you're more cognizant of what is going on."

The Precept Ministries event in Georgia was not the first time Kay Arthur has encouraged an audience to read Kupelian's books.

She has often urged viewers and listeners of "Precepts for Life" to read the bestselling author's two previous books, "The Marketing of Evil" and "How Evil Works." In fact, she has quoted extensively from them during her presentations.

And at the mammoth "Deeper Still" Christian women's conference in Atlanta in 2008, with some 17,000 in attendance, Arthur held up Kupelian's first book, “The Marketing of Evil," and encouraged everyone present to get it and read it. The book immediately spiked to No. 32 on Amazon's Nonfiction Bestsellers list and No. 2 on its Current Events list.

Arthur told WND that each successive Kupelian book has built on the previous one.

"Reading all of his books, I see the progression of evil and I see why it's happened, and what they've done is they've explained to me clearly where America is headed if there is no change in the leadership of this country," she said.

Kupelian is writing about an ailment in the very heart of America, says Arthur, adding metaphorically that "heart disease" being a very serious matter, Americans should heed Kupelian’s diagnosis and treatment as outlined in "The Snapping of the American Mind."

"I mean, it's a 911 call and it's a matter of getting this word out to everyone, because it's a very urgent situation," Arthur warned. "I believe everybody, before they vote, ought to read this book."

My comments: America is SICK unto DEATH. Kupelian has accurately Diagnosed her Sickness and the Cure. The only Cure is a Return to God and His Word. PERIOD!
