Comfort in His Word - by CD Swanson
“Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is” (Jeremiah 17:7 KJV)
God sees our heart; He is a cardio-knower. Our hearts are hidden elements of the human personality, but God sees them perfectly. “I the Lord search the heart; I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.” (Jeremiah 17:10 KJV)
The Word can be a comforting blanket to one whose soul is “cold and lonely.” It will provide warmth, and His hands of love will provide the peace. God speaks to us to this very day…He is still with us. His Bible, the bestselling book of all times, is here for anyone interested or desiring a closer relationship. It is His written love letter to His children. It is a salve for wounds, and a lifeboat for those drowning in misery. It’s up to us, to continue bringing the Word forward, as so many before us have and so many after us will continue to do so.
Go forth and make your Father happy. Reach out to others when you can. Ask for His wisdom and guidance to do so. Bring that peace to someone in need of rescue from the chaos and turmoil that is in their path, and know joy and peace through Him, and in Him, forever and always.
“Father God, let us grow to our full potential by Your Word, by our deeds, through our actions, and help find those in need of Your love, bringing them out of bondage, and into peace, freeing them in Jesus name, Amen.”
