Public Libraries Stock Gay Fairy Tale Book That Teaches Children That Gay Marriage Is OK

The author, Jeffrey Miles, told The Christian Post in an emailed statement that his children's book "tells the story of two handsome princes who go on a quest to save a princess, but fall in love with each other, get married, and live happily ever after."
Miles, a professor at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, has been married to his husband, Patrick Lastowski, for more than five years, and they've been a couple for 10 years.
"I wanted young and old alike to be able to read a fairy tale story that included a gay marriage," he said about the book. "More and more public libraries are adding the book to their collections, such as the New York Public Library, the Sacramento Public Library and the Pacific Library."
Bryan Fischer, the director of issue analysis for the American Family Association, a nonprofit Christian organization that supports traditional marriage, told CP on Thursday that "because of the power fairy tales, this book is a particularly pernicious form of sexually perverse propaganda."
"The stories and the images that children store up in their minds from fairy tales have a very powerful imprinting effect on their tender young souls," Fischer said. "And the bottom line is that no responsible library should ever include a book like this on its shelves, and no responsible school should ever use this book as a part of its curriculum."
He continued, "The reality is that no library can stock every book that's ever been published. So libraries choose all the time not to stock certain books. There's nothing wrong with parents asking the library not to stock a book of this nature."
Fischer noted that Christian parents aren't only concerned about what their children are reading, but they're also concerned about the literature that's influencing other children in their communities.
"Christian parents don't want to be concerned only about their own children, they want to keep this kind of warped literature out of the hands of other children as well," he asserted. "And if parents want this book for their children, there's nothing to stop them from going to Amazon and buying it with their own money. But taxpayer dollars should not be spent on tripe like this."
Miles told the LGBT publication, the Advocate, that he was inspired to write The Princes and the Treasure after going to an amusement park and seeing princes and princesses dancing together during a live entertainment show. He said he was disappointed and distraught that gay and lesbian relationships weren't being represented during the live shows.
"As I stared at the handsome princes singing and dancing in front of me, I suddenly wondered, 'Why aren't there any gay princes or lesbian princesses? Why can't the handsome prince marry another handsome prince? Why can't a damsel in distress be rescued by a beautiful princess? When I got home from the trip, I thought, I have to get busy and create my own prince and prince romantic adventure story,'" Miles told the Advocate.
At the end of the book, The Princes and the Treasure, the two main characters, Earnest and Gallant, are pictured inside a chapel where they're married by a vicar.
"Kids see that the story is about two people who fall in love and get married," Miles said. "All of the kids who have read the story don't find it unusual that the two characters who get married happen to be two men. Kids seem to see that love can happen between two people regardless of the couple's gender. I've been amazed how easy that idea is for kids to understand and how hard that is for some adults to understand."
An upcoming second "princes" book by Miles, titled The Princes and the Dragon, will depict characters Earnest and Gallant as a gay married couple living in a castle where they're raising their twin children, a boy and a girl.
My comments: There will be more and more PROPAGANDA like this from the godless, Secular Humanists on the issue of homosexuality and Same-Sex marriage. Nevertheless, it does nothing to change that clearly stated on this issue in God's Word. Chrsit is the same yesterday, today and FOREVER, as is His Word. God does not change His mind. He created sexuality for a singular context, the marriage between one man and one woman. Secular Humanist PROPAGANDA will not change this REALITY.
