From Dr. Mike Evans:
Today in prayer, I felt impressed of the Lord to address the Deception that is worldwide. In recent days, we have seen Russia move into Crimea and threaten the start of a wider war. We’ve watched a desperate search as a jumbo jet seemingly vanished into thin air. There are reports of hunger, disease, famine, earthquakes and more in the news. The question on many minds and hearts is: Are we approaching the end of the age?
The answer can be found in Matthew 24. The disciples asked Jesus that very question. He told them that the first sign of His coming would be Deception. He said, “Take heed that no man Deceive you.” Then He said the last sign would be that the Gospel would be preached in the entire world, “and then shall the end come.”
Because of the satellites, cable television, and the Internet, the Gospel is now being preached in all the world. The Bible describes the Devil as the great Deceiver. Revelation 20:10 says, “Then the Devil who Deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire.” Timothy says it this way, “Evil men and imposters will go from bad to worse, Deceiving and being Deceived…” (II Timothy 3:13). Throughout the New Testament, God warns us not to be Deceived. It is the cry of Jesus, “Watch out that you are not Deceived” (Luke 21:8).
