Romans
10:14-15 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not
believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not
heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they
preach, except they be sent...
We see from the Gospels that there is no such thing as a lost cause. Surely, if there was, the man living among the tombs would have been one (Mark 5).
Society had given up on him and offered him no hope and no relief. Their efforts of rehabilitation proved fruitless. This man did not need rehabilitation; he needed deliverance. He was possessed with the devil and only the power of God could set him free. Night and day, he was shrieking and screaming. Night and day, he was beating, bruising, and cutting himself with stones. No man could subdue him and chains could not hold him. "An outlaw, an outcast, a crazy man with multiple personality disorders,” as some would say…but God.
God had a different plan. Next, this man had an encounter with Jesus, the Word made flesh. Jesus set him free and he was no longer possessed with the devil. He was now in his right mind and his soul restored, but that's not all. Jesus then commissioned him to go and tell what Christ has done for him and he obeyed.
What Christ did for this man, Christ can do for you, for your loved ones, for your school, for your city, and for our nation. One is never beyond hope on this side of eternity - thanks be to God Who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. The body of Christ is anointed by God to heal the ills, sorrows, and broken hearts of this land.
The ONLY HOPE for America is another Great Spiritual Awakening. Every born-again Spirit-filled believer must rise up, go out, and proclaim the Gospel. Be free in the Holy Ghost; go and preach the Good News. We see in Mark 16:15 where the disciples are commissioned and then we read in verse 20, "And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.” You are commissioned; will you go?
