Love
is a word that is used to describe many things
In
the English language.
The
New Testament, written in the original Greek,
Speaks
of two types of love:
Phileo,
or brotherly love and Agape, or God's love.
There
is yet another Greek word for erotic love, sensual love, or Eros.
In
our English language, in normal conversation,
We do
not often speak of God's love.
We
most often are referring to either Phileo or Eros
Or
simply affection toward something.
Because
of this the word love, in the English language,
Can
loose its meaning in certain contexts.
The
apostle John writes: God is Love. (1 John 4:16)
God's
Love is His ESSENCE
And
the most profound Love that can be given, and Eternal as He is
Eternal.
For
God so Loved the world that he gave His One and only Son,
That
whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have Eternal LIFE.
(John
3:16)
Christ
Jesus said that the greatest commandment is the First:
Love
the Lord your God with all your heart and with all you soul
And
with all your mind.
This
is the First and Greatest Commandment.
And
the second is like it:
Love
your neighbor as yourself.
All
the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.
(Matthew
22:37-40)
Those
who obey His commands live in Him, and He in them.
And
this is how we know that He lives in us:
We
know it by the Spirit He gave us. (1 John 3:24)
Understand,
that no one can obey
The
First and Greatest Commandment
Unless
Christ lives in him,
And
no one can belong to Christ Jesus
Unless
he obeys the First Commandment.
In
other words we can only Love God by His Own Love in us,
Christ
in us our only Hope of Glory. (Colossians 1:27)
This
reality is critical to understand
All
Faith in Christ Jesus hangs of this reality.
When
the world speaks of love
It
has no relationship to the Love that we have in Christ Jesus.
It
is an entirely different language.
The
world can have a form of brotherly love
And
it can have eros or sensual love,
But
it cannot have or understand the Love of God,
Because
this requires the indwelling of Christ, the Holy Spirit;
Christ
living in and through a person.
Every
human being is born spiritual dead.
Unless
you are born of God, Born Again, you remain spiritually dead.
Unless
you are Born of God you cannot have the Love of God.
The
spiritually dead person lives in the shallow world of the senses,
Never
understanding the realm of the Spirit of God, the Kingdom of God;
Never
knowing the Love of God, unless they respond to the call of God,
Which
God gives to every person;
And
by Faith, Believes and Receives Christ Jesus as Savior and Lord,
And
Receives His Holy Spirit to live within them,
In
accordance with the Word of God.
Do
not love the world or anything in the world.
If
anyone loves the world, the Love of the Father is not in him.
For
everything in the world—the cravings of sinful man,
The
lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does--
Comes
not from the father but from the world.
The
world and its desires pass away,
But
the man who does the will of God lives FOREVER. (1 John 2:15-17)
A
follower of Christ cannot love the things of the world,
Because
they are entirely SENSUAL and only lead to Eternal Death.
A
follower of Christ Jesus must set his heart of THINGS ABOVE:
Since,
then you have been raised with Christ,
Set
your hearts on things above,
Where
Christ is seated at the right hand of God.
Set
your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
For
you died, and your LIFE is now hidden with Christ in God.
When
Christ, Who is your LIFE, appears,
Then
you also will appear with Him in Glory.
Put
to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature:
Sexual
immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is
IDOLATRY.
Because
of these, the WRATH of God is coming.
You
used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived.
But
now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these;
Anger,
rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.
Do
not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self
With
its practices and have put on the new self,
Which
is being renewed in knowledge in the Image of its Creator.
(Colossians
3:1-11)
Therefore,
as God's chosen people, holy and early loved,
Clothe
yourselves with compassion,
Kindness,
humility, gentleness and patience.
Bear
with each other
And
forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another.
Forgive
as the Lord forgave you.
And
over all these virtues put on LOVE,
Which
binds them all together in Perfect Unity. (Colossians 3:12-14)
Today,
the world is raging against God, rushing toward oblivion. (Psalm 2)
America
is being ground to powder because of her SIN against God.
Save
yourself from this Corrupt Generation! (Acts 2:40)
As
God has written, so shall it be! Hallelujah! Maranatha!
Father,
Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as in Heaven!
