Who Belongs To Christ Jesus?

'Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?'

Jesus replied:

'Love the Lord your God with all your heart

And with all your soul and with all your mind.

This is the first and greatest commandment.

And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'

All the Law and the prophets hand on these two commandments.'

(Matthew 22:37-40)

Then John gave this Testimony:

'I saw the Spirit come down from Heaven as a dove and remain on Him.

I would not have know Him,

Except the One Who sent me to baptize with water told me,

'The Man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain

Is He Who will Baptize with the Holy Spirit

I have seen and I testify that this is the Son of God.' (John 1:32-34)

We know from this Scripture that the Son of God will Baptize

Those who believe in Him, with the Holy Spirit.

That is what He came to do,

And that is what happened on The Day Of Pentecost,

And for everyone who believed thereafter.

Christ Jesus to Nicodemus:

'I tell you the Truth, unless a man is Born Again,

He cannot see the Kingdom of God.' (John 3:3)

'I tell you the Truth, unless a man is born of water and the Spirit,

He cannot Enter the Kingdom of God.

Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.

You should not be surprised at My saying, 'You MUST be Born Again,'

The wind blows wherever it pleases.

You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from 

Or where it is going.

So it is with EVERYONE BORN OF THE SPIRIT.' (John 3: 5-8)

Christ Jesus told the woman at the well:

Yet a time is coming and has now come when the True Worshipers

Will worship the Father in Spirit and Truth,

For they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.

God is Spirit, and His worshipers MUST worship in Spirit and in Truth.

(John 4:23-24)

Christ Jesus told His disciples:

'The Kingdom of God does not come VISIBLY,

Nor will people say, 'Here it is,' or 'There it is.'

Because the Kingdom of God is WITHIN YOU.' (Luke 17:20-21)

Then He said to them all:

'If ANYONE would come after Me, he MUST DENY HIMSELF

And take up his cross daily and follow Me.

For whoever wants to save his life will lose it,

But whoever loses his life for Me will save it.

What good is it for a man to gain the Whole World,

And yet lose or forfeit his very self?

If ANYONE IS ASHAMED OF ME AND MY WORDS,

The Son of Man will be ashamed of him when He come in His Glory

And in the Glory of the Father and of the holy angels. (Luke 9:23-26)

The Virgins who were ready went in with Him to the Wedding Banquet.

And the door was shut.

Later the others also came. 'sir! Sir! They said. 'Open the DOOR for us!'

But He replied, 'I tell you the Truth, I don't KNOW you.

Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the Day of the Hour.

(Matthew 25:1-13)

Then you will be handed over to be Persecuted and put to death,

And you will be HATED by ALL Nations because of Me.

At That Time MANY will turn away from the Faith

And betray and Hate each other,

And MANY False Prophets will appear and DECEIVE MANY people.

Because of the increase of WICKEDNESS the love of MOST will grow cold,

But he who STANDS FIRM to the END will be SAVED. (Matthew 24)

Then the Righteous will answer Him,

Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You,

Or thirsty and give You something to drink?

When did we see You a stranger and invite You in,

Or needing clothe and clothe You?

When did we see you sick or in prison and visit You?

The King will reply, I tell you the Truth,

Whatever you did for one the the least

Of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me. (Matthew 25:31-46)

Everyone who does Evil HATES the Light,

And will not come into the Light

For fear that his deeds will be exposed.

But whoever lives by the Truth comes into the Light,

So that it may be seen plainly that what he has done

Has been done through God. (John 3:20-21)

Yet a Time is coming and has now come

When True worshipers

Will worship the Father in Spirit and Truth,

For they are the KIND of worshipers the Father SEEKS.

God is SPIRIT,

And His worshipers must worship in SPIRIT and in Truth (John 4:23-24)

'My food,' said Jesus, 'is to do the WILL of Him Who sent Me

And to finish His WORK.

Do you not say, 'Four months more and then the harvest'?

I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields!

They are ripe for harvest.

Even now the Reaper draws his wages,

Even now he harvests the crop for Eternal LIFE,

So that the Sower and the Reaper may be glad together.

Thus the saying 'One sows anther reaps' is true.

I SENT YOU to reap what you have not worked for.

Others have done the hard work,

And you have reaped the benefits of their labor.' (John 4:34-38)

I tell you the Truth, whoever hears My Word

And believes Him Who sent Me has Eternal LIFE

And will not be condemned;

He has crossed over from DEATH to LIFE.

I tell you the Truth, a Time is coming and has now come

When the DEAD will hear the voice of the Son of God

And those who hear will live.

For as the Father has LIFE in Himself,

So He has granted the Son to have LIFE in Himself.

And He has given Him authority to judge

Because He is the Son of Man. (5:24-27)

I tell you the Truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man,

You have no life in you.

Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has Eternal LIFE,

And I will raise him up at the Last Day.

For My flesh is real food and My blood is real drink.

Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood

Remains IN ME and I IN him.

Just as the Living Father sent Me and I live because of the Father,

So the one who feeds on Me will live because of Me.

This is the Bread that came down from Heaven.

Our forefathers ate manna and died,

But he who feeds on this Bread will live FOREVER. (John 6:53-58)

Doe this OFFEND YOU?

What if you see the Son of Man ascend to where He was before!

The Spirit gives LIFE; the flesh counts for NOTHING.

THE words I have spoken to you are Spirit and they are LIFE.

Yet there are some of you who do not believe. (John 6:61-64)

This is why I told you that no one can come to Me

Unless the Father has ENABLED him. (John 6:65)

My Teaching is not My Own.

It comes from Him Who sent Me.

I any one chooses to do God's will,

He will find out whether My Teaching comes from God

Or whether I speak on My Own.

He who speaks on his own does so to gain honor for himself,

But he who works for the honor of the One who sent him

Is a man of Truth; There I nothing false about him. (John 7:16-18)

If any man is Thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.

Whoever believes in Me, as Scripture has said,

Streams of Living Water will flow from within him. (John 7:37-38)

I AM the Light of the World.

Whoever follows Me will never walk in DARKNESS,

but will have the Light of LIFE. (John 8:12)

To the Jews who had believed Him, Jesus said,

'If you hold to My Teaching, you are really My disciples.

Then you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you Free. (John 8:31-32)

He who belongs to God hears what God says.

The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God. (John 8:47)

As long as it is DAY, WE must do the work of Him Who sent Me.

NIGHT is coming, when no one can work.

While I AM in the World, I AM the Light of the World. (John 9:4-5)

I AM the Gate for the sheep.

ALL who ever came before Me were thieves and robbers,

But the sheep did not listen to them.

I AM the Gate; whoever enters THROUGH ME will be Saved.

He will come in and go out, and find pasture.

The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy;

I have come that they may have LIFE, and have it to the FULL. (John 10:7-10)

I AM the Good Shepherd;

I know My sheep and My sheep know Me--

Just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father –

And I lay down My life for the sheep. (John 10:14-15)

My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me.

I give them Eternal LIFE, and they shall NEVER PERISH;

No one can snatch them out of My Father's hand.

I and the Father are ONE. (John 10:27-30)

I AM the RESURRECTION and the LIFE.

He who believes Me will live, even though he dies;

And whoever lives and believes in Me will NEVER DIE.

Do you believe this. (John 11:25-26)

I tell you the Truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies,

It remains only a single seed.

But IF IT DIES, it produces many seeds.

The man who loves his life will lose it,

While the man who HATES his life in this world will keep it for Eternal LIFE.

(John 12:24-25)

You are going to have going to have the Light just a little while longer.

Walk while you have the Light, before DARKNESS overtakes you.

The man who walks in the DARK does not know where he is going.

Put your trust in the Light while you have it,

So that you may become sons of Light. (John 12:35-36)

When a man believes in Me, he does not believe in Me only,

But in the ONE Who sent Me.

When he looks at Me, he sees the ONE Who sent Me.

I have come into the World as a Light,

So that no one who believes in Me should stay in DARKNESS.

As for the one who hears My words but does not KEEP THEM.

I do not judge him.

For I did not come to judge the World, but to Save it.

There is a judge for the one who REJECTS ME and does not accept My words;

That very Word which I spoke will CONDEMN HIM at the Last Day.

For I did not speak of My Own accord,

But the Father Who sent Me commanded Me what to say and how to say it.

I know that His Command leads to Eternal LIFE.

So what ever I say is just what the Father has told Me to say. (John 12:47-50)

You call Me Teacher and Lord, and rightly so, for that is what I AM.

Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet,

You also should wash one another's feet.

I have set you and example that you should do as I have done for you.

I tell you the Truth, no servant is greater than his master,

Nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.

Now that you know these things you will be BLESSED if you do them.

(John 13:13-17)

A New Command I give you: Love one another, as I have loved you,

So you MUST love one another.

All men will know that you are My disciples if you love one another.

(John 13:34)

Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in Me.

In My Father's House are many rooms; 

If it were not so, I would have told you.

I AM going there to prepare a Place for you.

And If I go a and prepare a Place for you,

I will come back and take you to be with me 

That you also may be where I AM.

You know the Way to the Place where I AM going.

Thomas said to him, 'Lord we don't know where you are going,

So how can we know the Way?'

Jesus answered, 'I AM the WAY and the TRUTH and the LIFE.

No one comes to the Father except through Me.

If you really knew Me, you would know My Father as well.

From now on, you do know Him and have seen Him.' (John 14:1-7)

I tell you the Truth, anyone who has Faith in Me

Will do what I have been doing.

He will do even greater things than these, because I AM going to the Father.

And I will do whatever you ask in My Name,

So that the Son may baring Glory to the Father.

You may ask for anything in My Name, and I will do it. (John 14:12-14)

“If you love me, you will obey what I command.

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor

To be with you forever--the Spirit of TRUTH.

The World cannot accept Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him.

But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you.”

I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

Before long, the world will not see Me anymore, but you will see Me.

Because I live you also will live.

ON THAT DAY you will realize that I AM in my Father,

And you are in Me, and I AM in you.

Whoever has My Commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves Me.

He who loves Me will be loved by My Father,

And I too will love him and show Myself to him. (John 14:15-21)

Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said,

'But Lord, why do you intend to show Yourself to us and not to the World?'

Jesus replied, 'If anyone loves Me, he will obey My Teaching.

My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.

He who does not love Me will not obey My Teaching.

These words you hear are not My Own; 

They belong to the Father Who sent Me.

'All this I have spoken while still with you.

But the Counselor, the Holy spirit, Whom the Father will send in My Name,

Will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

Peace I leave with you; My Peace I give to you.

I do not give to you as the World gives.

Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

You heard Me say, I AM going away and I AM coming back to you.

If you loved Me, you would be glad that I AM going to the Father,

For the Father is greater than I.

I have told you now before it happens,

So that when it does happen you will believe.

I will not speak with you much longer, for the Prince of this World is coming.

He has no hold on Me, but the World must learn that I love the Father

And that I do EXACTLY what My Father has Commanded Me.

Come now; let us leave.” (John 14:225-31)

'I AM the True Vine and My Father is the Gardener.

He cuts off every branch in Me that bears no fruit,

While every branch that does bear fruit He trims clean

So that it will be even more fruitful.

You are already clean because of the Word I have spoken to you.

Remain in Me, and I will remain in you.

No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the Vine.

Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain IN ME.

I AM the Vine and you are the branches.

If a man remains IN ME and I in him, he will bear much fruit;

Apart from Me you can do nothing.

If anyone does not remain Me,

He is like a branch that is thrown away and withers;

Such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.

If you remain in Me and My Words remain in you, ask whatever you wish,

And it will be given you.

This is to My Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit,

Showing yourselves to be My disciples.

As the Father has love Me, so have I loved you.

Now remain in My love. If you obey My Commands, you will remain in My love, Just as I have obeyed My Father’s commands and remain in His love.

I have told you this so that My joy may be in you

And that your joy may be complete.

My Command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.

Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.

You are My friends If you do what I Command.

I no longer call you servants,

Because a servant does not know his masters business.

Instead, I have called you friends,

For everything that I learned from My Father I have made known to you.

You did not choose Me, but I chose you to go and bear fruit –

Fruit that will last.

Then the Father will give you what ever you ask in My Name.

This is My Command: Love each other. (John 15:1-17)

The World Hates the Disciples

“If the World HATES you, keep in mind that it HATED Me first.

If you belonged to the World, it would love you as its own.

As it is, you do not belong to the World, but I have chosen you out of the World. That is why the World HATES you.

Remember the words I spoke to you; ‘No servant is greater than his master.’

If they persecuted Me, they will persecute you also.

If they obeyed My Teaching, they will obey yours also.

They will treat you this way because of My Name,

For they do not know the One who sent Me.

If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin.

Now, however, they have no excuse for their sin.

He who HATES Me hates My Father as well.

If I had not done among them what no one else did,

They would not be guilty of sin.

But now they have seen these miracles,

And yet they have HATED both Me and My Father.

But this is to fulfill what is written in their Law; ‘They HATED Me without reason.’

When the Counselor comes, Whom I will send to you from the Father,

The Spirit of Truth Who goes out from the Father,

He will testify about Me; but you also must testify,

For you have been with Me from the beginning.” (John 15:18-27)

Persecution Foretold

'All this I have told you so that you will not go astray.

They will put you out of the synagogue;

In fact, a time is coming when anyone who kills you

Will think he is offering a service to God.

They will do such thing because they have not know the Father or Me.

I have told you this, so that when the time comes

You will remember that I warned you.

I did not tell you this at first because I was with you. (John 16:1-4)

The Work of the Holy Spirit

“Now I am going to Him Who sent Me, yet none of you asks Me,

‘Where are you going?’ Because I have said these thing, 

You are filled with grief.

But I tell you the truth; It is for your good that I AM going away.

Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you;

But if I go, I will send Him to you.

When He comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin

And righteousness and judgment;

In regard to sin, because men do not believe in Me;

In regard to righteousness, because I AM going to the Father,

Where you can see me no longer;

And in regard to judgment,

Because the Prince of this World now stands condemned.

‘I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear.

But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into ALL Truth.

He will not speak on His Own; He will speak only what He hears,

And He will tell you what is yet to come.

He will bring glory to Me by taking from what is Mine

And making it known to you.

All that belongs to the Father is Mine.

That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is Mine

And make it known to you.

In a little while you will see Me no more,

And then after a little while you will see Me. (John 16:5-16)

The Disciples Grief Will Turn to Joy

Jesus saw that they wanted to ask Him about this, so He said to them,

“Are you asking one another what I meant when I said,

‘In a little while you will see Me no more,

And then after a little while you will see Me’?

I tell you the truth, you will weep and mourn while the World rejoices.

You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy.

A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come;

But when her baby is born she for gets the anguish

Because of her joy that a child is born into the world.

So with you: Now is your time of grief,

But I will see you again and you will rejoice, 

And no one will take away your joy.

In that day you will no longer ask Me anything.

I tell you the truth, My Father will give you what ever you ask in My Name.

Until now you have not asked for anything in My Name.

Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.

Though I have been speaking figuratively,

A time is coming when I will not longer use this kind of language

But will tell you plainly about My Father.

In that day you will ask in My Name.

I AM not saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf.

No, the Father Himself love you because you have loved Me

And have believed that I came from God.

I came from the Father and entered the World;

Now I am leaving the World and going back to the Father.

Then Jesus’ disciples said,

Now You are speaking clearly and without figures of speech.

Now we can see that You know all things

And that You do not even need to have anyone ask you questions.

This makes us believe that You came from God.

You believe at last! Jesus answered.

But the time is coming, and has come, when you will be scattered,

Each to his own home.

You will leave Me all alone.

Yet I AM not alone, for My Father is with Me.

I have told you these things, so that IN ME you may have peace.

In this World you will have trouble. But take heart!

I have OVERCOME the World. (John 16: 17-33)

Jesus Prays For Himself

17 After Jesus said this, He looked toward heaven and prayed:

“Father, the time has come.

Glorify your Son, that Your Son may glorify You.

For You granted Him authority over all people

That He might give Eternal LIFE to all those You have given Him.

Now this is eternal life: That they may know you, the only true God,

And Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

I have brought You Glory on earth by completing the work You gave Me to do.

And now, Father, Glorify Me in your presence

With the Glory I had with You before the World began. (John 17:1-5)

Jesus Prays for His Disciples

“I have revealed You to those Whom You gave Me out of the World.

They were Yours; You gave them to Me and they have obeyed your Word.

Now they know that everything You have given Me comes from You.

For I gave them the words You gave Me and they accepted them.

They knew with certainty that I came from You,

And they believed that You sent Me.

I pray for them.

I am not praying for the World, but for those You have given Me,

For they are Yours.

All I have is Yours, and all You have is Mine.

And Glory has come to Me through them.

I will remain in the World no longer, but they are still in the world,

And I AM coming to You.

Holy Father, protect them by the power of Your Name--

The Name you gave Me--so that they may be One as We are One.

While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe

By that Name you gave Me.

None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction

So that Scripture would be fulfilled.

I AM coming to You now, but I say these things while I AM still in the World,

So that they may have the full measure of My Joy within them.

I have given them Your Word and the World has HATED them,

For they are not of the World any more than I AM of the World.

My prayer is not that You take them out of the World

But that You protect them from the Evil One.

They are not of the World, even as I AM not of it.

Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.

As you sent Me into the world, I have sent them into the world.

For them I sanctify Myself, that they too may be truly sanctified (set apart).

Jesus Prays for All Believers

My prayer is not for them alone.

I pray also for those who will believe in Me through their message,

That all of them may be One,

Father, just as You are in Me and I AM in You.

May they also be in us so that the World may believe that You have sent Me.

I have given them the Glory that You gave Me,

That they may be One as we are One:

I in them and You in Me.

May they be brought to Complete Unity

To let the World know that You sent Me

And have loved them even as you have loved Me.

Father, I want those you have given Me to be with Me where I AM,

And to see My Glory, the Glory You have given Me

Because You loved Me before the Creation of the World.

Righteous Father, though the World does not know You, I know You,

And they know that You have sent Me.

I have made You know to them, and will continue to make You known

In order that the love You have for Me may be in them

And that I Myself may be in them. (John 17:20-26)
