“Trust the LORD with all your heart, and don’t depend on your own understanding.
Remember the LORD in all you do, and he will give you success.” (Proverbs 3:5-6 NCV).
I ran camera in high school for sporting events like hockey, football and basketball.
I would go on to Vo-Tech to pursue my dreams of working in television. When I got my first job, someone shared the above mentioned verse.
I learned how to trust in the Lord.
I did an internship working in production for a cable company.
I worked part-time a few days a week for a community college doing odd jobs that needed to get done relating to television.
Later on, the cable company I interned for was bought out, and many people quit.
I was hired to work part-time there, but was able to get another part-time job to supplement my income.
I worked at a fast food restaurant but was told I was not quick enough, and therefore lost that job.
I also interviewed for a job selling encyclopedias, but the interviewer said I was disqualified for not going to college.
I got up and walked out of that interview.
The person who was interviewing me apologized as I walked out.
I also worked for a grocery store.
I lost that job as well.
Although on the same day I lost my job at the grocery store, I was offered a full time job at the cable company.
Being a young Christian in my early twenties taught me that the Lord can be trusted.
I didn’t understand how He was going to work throughout my life.
The Lord showed me then and many other times, that I can rely on Him. The question is — do you trust him?
