Yes, the opening ceremony for 2024 Paris Olympics was absolutely demonic.
And unless you were completely detached from any form of media this past weekend, you know what I'm referring to.
But just in case you did miss it, here's a quick recap.
The ceremony (which took years of planning) involved:
- Drag queens mocking Jesus and His disciples in a scene which mimics Leonardo Da Vinci's The Last Supper,
- The appearance of a galloping horse and rider reminiscent of the pale horse in the Book of Revelation,
- The prominent display of an idolatrous golden calf,
- Drag queens dancing with children,
- A singing, beheaded rendition of Marie Antoinette,
- Flames of fire shooting into the air,
- One man exposing himself, and
- Scene after scene of debauchery and blasphemy.
But I ask you this - does any of it really surprise you?
Is Any of This Really Surprising?
Unless you suddenly teleported into the present day from some time long past, none of this should be new.
It should be shocking, but it's not surprising.
We've seen this type of demonic display over and over for years now. Don't believe me?
Here's just a few events from the recent past:
Gotthard Tunnel Opening Ceremony - Maybe you don't remember the opening ceremony for the Gotthard base tunnel in Switzerland, the longest and deepest tunnel in the world.
It featured a baphomet figure hovering over a bunch of people in their underwear, a topless woman with bird wings, simulated sex, and a dead lamb.
The BBC covered it back in 2016.
2022 Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony - This opening ceremony was rife with occult symbols and pagan practices.
As The Vigilant Citizen reported at the time, it "contained some bizarre scenes involving people revering a giant bull.
Was this ritualistic ceremony actually Baal worship in plain sight?"
In one scene, a giant Lord Voldemort look-alike towers over hundreds of children in hospital beds.
In another scene, dozens of people lay down in worship of a pyramid.
In the end, a "light-bearing" woman (a tribute to "the light-bearer" Lucifer) tames the giant bull.
Almost Any Super Bowl Halftime Show - For over two decades now, I've referred to the Super Bowl halftime show as the "Super Bowl Sodom & Gomorrah Halftime Show."
I've been doing it for so long, my eldest daughter revealed to me this past weekend that she thought it was the actual name of the Super Bowl halftime show.
It might as well be.
Over the years, it's featured a wide variety of shows with scantily-clad dancers wielding chains, occult symbols, exploding flames of fire, and even "costume malfunctions."
Just Google the phrase "super bowl halftime show," take a look at the images, and you'll see countless examples.
The 2023 Grammys - In 2023, the annual music awards show featured a satanically-clothed Sam Smith surrounded by dancing demons who bowed in worship.
Meanwhile, Kim Petras sang from inside a cage as flames roared all around.
At one point in the song, they reference the brand Balenciaga, a fashion company that only a few months earlier made news headlines of its own. As this Breitbart story states, a Balenciaga ad campaign which "ignited a firestorm of controversy appears to feature the name 'Baal' and other possible symbols associated with satanism."
Demons in the New York Skyline - Back in 2015, in a supposed attempt to draw attention to wildlife extinction, activists projected a giant image of the Hindu goddess Kali on the Empire State Building.
So I ask again, does the demonic opening ceremony of 2024 Paris Olympic games really surprise you?
Why Are We Seeing This?
I can understand if you find it shocking, disgusting, pagan - an evil abomination.
It's all those things.
But you shouldn't be surprised.
We live in a fallen world, and the Bible tells us this:
"For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places." Ephesians 6:12 (NLT)
When you have a biblical worldview, you understand why this is happening.
We're in the middle of an epic spiritual conflict, and we're not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies.
These satanic ceremonies and events we see playing out over and over are choreographed by the demonic world.
As a result, we should expect to see more events like the one we just witnessed in Paris, because the demonic world is preparing for an event much bigger than the Olympics.
They're getting ready for a time of "greater anguish than at any time since the world began" (Matthew 24:21) - the seven-year Tribulation.
Signs Are All Around Us
Both Jesus and the prophets gave us numerous signs to look for - signs that indicate the nearness of the Second Coming of Jesus at the end of the seven-year Tribulation.
Their emergence and convergence for the first time in history tells us the return of the Lord is close at hand.
Here are just a few of the signs we see:
• Israel Back in the Land (Jeremiah 23:7-8; Ezekiel 39:28; Isaiah 11:12; Psalm 107:3; Ezekiel 20:34; Isaiah 11:11-12)
• The Jewish People in Control of Jerusalem (Luke 21:24-28)
• The Gospel Preached Throughout the World (Matthew 24:14)
• An Increase in Travel and Knowledge (Daniel 12:4)
• Arrival of the Exponential Curve (Matthew 24:3‐8)
• Israel Surrounded by Enemies (Psalm 83:4; Psalm 83:12; Ezekiel 11:14‐17; Ezekiel 35:10)
• Israel's Exceedingly Great Army (Ezekiel 37:10; Zechariah 12:6; Zechariah 12:8)
• The Rise of a United Europe (Daniel 2, Daniel 7, Revelation 17)
• The Rise of a Global Government (Revelation 13:7-17)
• The State of Mankind (2 Timothy 3:1-4)
• Denial of the Signs (2 Peter 3:3‐4)
• The Arrival of CBDCs, Digital Identities, and the Infrastructure Necessary for the Mark of the Beast System (Revelation 13:16-17)
These signs and more are all around us, and Jesus said, "when all these things begin to happen, stand and look up, for your salvation is near!" (Luke 21:28)
The major global events taking place in the world today are part of the "birth pains" Jesus told us would mark the times just before His return (Matthew 24:8).
Satan recognizes the signs as well.
He's read the scriptures (Matthew 4:6), and he's preparing for the seven-year Tribulation.
He still thinks he can win.
It's Going to Get Worse
If you have a biblical worldview, you understand we're in the midst of a spiritual battle.
For those who don't understand why all these terrible things are happening, there's your answer.
We're in a spiritual battle.
While it's an epic conflict, the war has already been won - Jesus has already won the victory (John 16:33).
Think of it this way... In December 1944, Nazi Germany launched a surprise offensive against the allied forces in western Europe. The Germans made quick progress and created "a bulge" in the Allied lines.
This became known as "The Battle of the Bulge."
The battle resulted in over 100,000 casualties on both sides.
But here's the kicker - for all intents and purposes, the war was over.
By that point, experts considered it only a matter of time until Nazi Germany was vanquished.
Surrounded on all sides and short of resources, the German offensive was doomed before it began.
Nevertheless, many men died and many more were injured.
We're experiencing the same thing right now.
We're in a spiritual battle, and when you're on the battlefield, terrible things happen.
People are maimed, and lives are destroyed.
You're in that battle, and you're going to suffer as a result.
What should we do?
Fortunately, we don't have to guess.
The Bible tells us:
"Therefore, put on every piece of God's armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil.
Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.
Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God's righteousness.
For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.
In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.
Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion.
Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere."
Ephesians 6:13-18 (NLT)
Stand firm. Resist the devil.
Study the Word so you know the truth, and stand in righteousness.
Have faith.
Remain persistent in your prayers, and always be prepared to give an answer to anyone who asks you to explain the reason for the hope you have in Jesus Christ (1 Peter 3:15).
Above all else, know this:
"For the Lord your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory."
(Deuteronomy 20:4)
We're on the side of Jesus Christ, and if God is for us, then who can be against us (Romans 8:31)?
