My Amazon Driver Accepted Jesus on 5-4-24

So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. Rom 10:17 NAS

Tyler is one of the drivers we have for Amazon. 

I saw him one day dropping off a package and wished I had talked to him about Jesus, but that day I was too late. 

I always try to be prepared and few days later, when I saw him again, I grabbed a copy of a book I give out and went out to greet him. 

I discovered that Tyler is a nice young man about 24 years old. 

After a comment or two in the natural, I switched to the spiritual and asked him if he had any faith in Christ. 

I found out he had gone to church some with his family when he was younger. 

I talked to him a bit more and gave him the book and encouraged him to read it.

On 5-4-24, I saw the Amazon van again. 

It took a while, so I went out to the open side door and said hello. 

It was Tyler again. 

He was searching for our package. 

He greeted me and told me he was reading the book. 

I knew he was busy, but I asked him if he had just three minutes so I could explain more to him about why he needed Jesus. 

He said yes with a big smile, I have time.

So, I took Tyler through the good person test, a test you need to learn that uses the law as a mirror to show us how we look before God apart from Jesus. 

Almost everyone thinks they are a good person because they compare themselves to other people they see as worse. 

But other people are not God’s standard.

Tyler failed the test and admitted he would be guilty and headed to hell if he died that day. 

He confessed that it really concerned him. 

Then I asked Him if he knew what God did so he did not have to go to hell and offered him the gospel. 

Tyler repented and trusted in Jesus right there on the spot. 

Pray for him and I’ll follow up.
