Stop That Angry Rant

“When you are angry, do not sin, 

And be sure to stop being angry 

Before the end of the day. 

Do not give the devil a way to defeat you.” 

Ephesians 4:26-27 NCV

Sometimes you need to do things in advance to keep yourself from having an angry rant. 

I say that because I once had a drawer at work, where I was allowed to keep personal things. 

I was told by my supervisor I could use it for myself, but I needed to keep it clean. 

However, I disagreed with my supervisor – since I felt like it was my personal space, and I could do what I wanted with it. 

My drawer, whether it was messy or clean did not affect my work. 

Yet, to keep me from getting angry at my supervisor, I removed everything from the drawer.

The above mentioned Bible verse tells us to stop being angry before the end of the day. 

The devil wants to defeat you. 

There are times in my life when I let Satan defeat me, and I paid a heavy price. 

For example, I was dating someone and had concerns about our relationship. 

One day I shot my mouth off, and as a result I ended up losing that relationship.

If I ever see a situation that is going to get me upset, I’ve learned I need to bite my tongue and have self-control. 

Timing is everything. 

Situations need to be dealt with at the right time and in the right way with people. 

In every situation, prayer is the best option. 

Hence, it is very important to take care of our anger before it comes out sideways. 

Take care of your anger. Do not be defeated by Satan.
