Democrats are turning America into ‘1984’-style dictatorship David Kupelian exposes the Orwellian methods being used on the U.S. right now Dear friend of WND,   Increasingly, Americans can be heard lamenting that their beloved country is being transformed into a totalitarian, mind-assaulting society like the one so chillingly depicted in George Orwell’s “1984.” But is this just an understandable exaggeration on the part of frustrated Trump supporters – or is it actually, even spectacularly, TRUE? Many cite the growing perversion of our language (“Newspeak” in “1984”). Others cite the evolution of a dizzyingly invasive surveillance state, courtesy of Big Tech and an increasingly authoritarian government. But in truth, it’s worse than all that – MUCH worse. Today’s ruling elite, as we endeavor to chronicle daily on WND, accumulates and maintains its power by attacking the very sanity of its own citizens. That is to say, they punish normal, rational thinking and acting, while rewarding deranged and irrational thinking and acting (as long as the craziness reflects the elite’s officially sanctioned narrative). For example: In “1984,” the main character, Winston Smith, runs afoul of the ruling Party for insisting that “two plus two make four.” Only after being tortured by those in power does he come around to agreeing that, of course, “two plus two make five.” This is so obviously insane, you’d assume it could never be duplicated in real life – especially in America. Right? Wrong. In New York City, math education Professor Laurie Rubel claims the whole notion that two plus two equals four is one that “reeks of white supremacist patriarchy.” As the Brooklyn College professor of math education explained in a tweet to her followers: “The idea that math (or data) is culturally neutral or in any way objective is a MYTH. … Along with the ‘Of course math is neutral because 2+2=4’ trope are the related (and creepy) ‘Math is pure’ and ‘Protect math.’ Reeks of white supremacist patriarchy. I’d rather think on nurturing people & protecting the planet (with math in service of them goals).” Got that? Insist that “two plus two make four,” as did the main character in Orwell’s “1984,” and you’re a “white supremacist” in today’s America. This is “woke” Marxist madness, and it’s running rampant in our great nation. The truth is, there is a full-fledged Marxist revolution now exploding throughout America – from our classrooms, to our streets, to the halls of Congress and the White House. For a reality check, consider the titles of a few recent bestsellers: “American Marxism” by Mark Levin. “The Enemy Within: How a Totalitarian Movement is Destroying America” by David Horowitz. “The Tyranny of Big Tech” by Sen. Josh Hawley. “Irresistible Revolution: Marxism's Goal of Conquest & the Unmaking of the American Military” by Matthew Lohmeier. (You’ll recall that Lohmeier is the heroic Space Force officer whom Team Biden ousted for daring to expose the rampant Marxist indoctrination being imposed on America’s armed forces.) So this is real, folks. And let's just drill down a little deeper and consider what we're REALLY dealing with. What we cryptically refer to as "The Left" – code words for a revolutionary movement steeped in pathological anger and churning rebellion against America as a uniquely blessed Judeo-Christian, constitutional republic – is at war, not as it claims with “racism,” “inequity,” “police brutality,” “transphobia” and “climate deniers.” Nor even is it ultimately at war with conservatives and Trump supporters, whom they routinely label “white supremacists” and “domestic terrorists.” “The Left” is at war with God Almighty and His laws and ways. And, because America has long been the most Christian nation on earth, they loathe America. That is why they are so obsessed with replacing the traditional, Bible-honoring constitutional American system with an entirely different system – one which, whether you call it “Marxism” or “communism” or “collectivism” or “socialism,” ALWAYS leads to tyranny, mass suffering and death. So what can we do? Traditionally, society’s natural defenders against any approaching tyranny, and the lies and deception that underlie it and make it possible, would be a free, courageous and independent press. That’s why Thomas Jefferson famously warned, “The only security of all is in a FREE PRESS.” True journalists are professional Truth-tellers – because when the truth about threats to a nation is boldly and widely proclaimed and understood, that nation can immediately begin course-correcting, healing and breathing easily again. The truth sets us free. Unfortunately, today’s elite media consists almost entirely of lying, corrupt, self-serving, low-IQ – and frankly idiotic – cheerleaders for the revolution. As a result, the number one target of today’s Big Tech totalitarians is that tiny part of the news media not extoling the virtues of the ascendent Democrats’ insane, delusional and destructive agenda, but rather, committed to reporting the truth … no matter the cost or consequences. And I can assure you, WND, whose motto for almost 26 years has been “A FREE PRESS FOR A FREE PEOPLE,” is paying a great price and is suffering major consequences for reporting truthfully. I don’t want to burden you with a detailed recitation of all the awful attacks we’ve endured. You’ve heard many of them before – all the Big Tech banning, demonetization, suppression, defamation, destruction of our advertising and so on, including a few months back Google’s unprecedented 11-day global blacklist of WND. So without specifically listing the many painful challenges we’re still facing, I would just like to appeal to you to understand – and hopefully act on that understanding – that in the current openly anti-Christian, anti-SANITY era, the only way a bold Christian journalism organization can possibly carry on is with strong support from those who value its continued existence.
