"He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf."
2 Corinthians 5:15
Dear Friends,
The Apostle Paul identified the significance of Christ’s death when he wrote,
"He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf." (2 Corinthians 5:15)
When our priorities are wrong, life becomes wrong.
Jesus did not die a horrendous death on the cross and rise from the dead so we can go do "our thing." He died so we would do "His thing." He wants us to serve Him and minister to others. If He had lived for Himself, then He never would have died on the cross.
When we live for Christ, then our problems become insignificant. When we meet the needs of others, our needs are met. When we make others happy, then we are happy. When we live for God, then He makes sure we experience life in all its fullness and joy.
Who are you living for today? If it is yourself, then your life will become very dry and miserable. If you live for Christ, then the joy He has He will pass on to you!
Here's to dying to ourselves so that we can truly live!
Pastor Mark
