HOW WILL HE NOT?
Every time I think, ‘It can’t get any better in our Tent,’ God proves me wrong.
Tuesday’s meeting began differently. Flashpoint was broadcasting live from inside the Tent. I wasn’t sure what to expect or how many would show up. But once again, the Tent was overflowing well before the scheduled start.
The energy in the Tent was different. It wasn’t the same anticipation as the evening services, but there was still a buzz, and God remained true to Himself.
Three of the famed fab four took the stage: Gene Bailey, Mario Murillo, and Lance Wallnau. Unfortunately, Hank Kunneman was unable to attend and was missed. The show began and, as usual, we were talking about the issues going on in the world.
Gene asked Mario a question he often hears, “What do you want us to do?” Mario’s response was right on target. He said, “If we were to give you a how-to, we would infect you with ideas not as powerful as the one’s God wants to give you. So, here’s the answer: don’t tell people how to do something. Tell them what to do and watch how much ingenuity they have.”
Finally, Gene turned the remaining half hour over to Mario to present the Gospel. Mario spoke about Jesus’ encounter with the woman at the well.
Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.” John 4:10
Mario revealed how Jesus pushed past the counterfeit, offering the greatest truth mankind has ever known. Then followed an appeal for salvation. The response was immediate and great. The altar filled with souls surrendering their lives to Christ.
Following this great live event, the Destiny Church worship team began to sing, and after a time of worship, Mario took the stage for the evening’s meeting.
Mario did not speak long. He talked about rhetorical questions and how they are best answered with another question. And when the questions are, ‘Will God heal my body?’ or ‘Will God affect my situation?’ or ‘Will God save my family?’, the response is, “How will He not?”
And almost immediately, the healings began. The air in the Tent changed as God began to move from one side to the other. People were being healed right where they sat.
Mario called out many individual healings, but at the same time, they were happening all over the Tent, without being expressly called out. People were crying and laughing and cheering. It was electric and exciting. There was a spirit of joy flowing through that place!
He ended the evening with another altar call. I wasn’t sure if there would be a response, but the Holy Spirit had definitely been working on people’s hungry hearts. The altar was filled once again, with many coming forward to surrender their lives.
This was such a night of power. And if you are wondering, ‘Will God do the same for me?’ I repeat Mario’s question, “How will He not?” For, indeed, that is the promise of God:
He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Romans 8:32
