October 21, 2021 Dear Friend, If we truly want to see a lasting shift in our culture, we must do more than lament the growing darkness; we must shine a light.
That's why Family Research Council is committed to not only providing biblical analysis on the pressing issues of the day through our multimedia broadcasts -- including Washington Watch with Tony Perkins and Pray Vote Stand -- we are also impacting the next generation.
DONATE NOW Through FRC's internship program, we are equipping the Christian leaders of tomorrow to impact public policy and the culture from a biblical worldview.
To date, over 800 students have undergone training and mentorship through our multifaceted program, gaining and honing skills that will be critical to their personal and professional development and the future of our culture at large.
Previous interns have gone on to launch careers in both state and federal government, at non-profit organizations, in the media, and in academia, including: - U.S. House of Representatives
- U.S. Senate
- Fox News
- Oxford University
- The White House and other executive agencies
Many former interns cite their time at FRC as formative and invaluable in preparing them for their chosen career path. One alumna, who now works as a congressional reporter for The Daily Signal, shares this impression: "Interning at Family Research Council was an incredible experience I am grateful for to this day. It was my first internship in D.C. while still in school. Not only was the program a valuable experience for my professional career, but it was also incredibly encouraging to learn from some of the most principled Christian leaders in this country during my internship." FRC is committed to equipping and inspiring the next generation of leaders who will take up the call of advancing faith, family, and freedom in the sphere of influence to which God calls them.
DONATE NOW
But this critical work must begin long before these inspiring young adults enter our student intern program. It all starts in the home.
Dr. George Barna, Senior Research Fellow for FRC's Center for Biblical Worldview (CBW), explains that a person's worldview is primarily formed before the age of 13.
And although 51 percent of American adults claim to have a biblical worldview, extensive testing through the American Worldview Inventory indicates that just nine percent of the adults who call themselves Christian actually has one.
That's why our Center for Biblical Worldview is developing publications and resources to equip believers (especially parents) to be grounded in the truths of God's Word and be prepared to articulate them in a winsome manner.
By applying the Bible and the historical teachings of the church to a wide range of relevant issues -- including voting, religious liberty, abortion, marriage, and sexuality -- the Biblical Worldview Series helps Christians fulfill the exhortation of 1 Peter 3:15 to always be prepared to make a defense for what we believe.
We are also in the process of developing age-appropriate resources to communicate these truths to children and youth. When you join FRC's For the Sake of Our Children campaign before the deadline tomorrow, Friday at 10 AM ET, your vital gift will help our experts: - Conduct research to identify social trends,
- Develop and accelerate the distribution of persuasive resources,
- Expand our network of pastors and churches,
- Magnify the reach of our informative broadcasts,
- Enable us to train more student interns,
- And so much more!
So will you join FRC and thousands of like-minded believers today to help us stop the far Left's indoctrination of the next generation and provide them with the truth?
Then prayerfully consider giving $10, $25, $50, or even $100 or more to help us match the $1 Million Challenge before the deadline tomorrow. And remember, Tom, your gift will have quadruple the impact thanks to friends of FRC -- if you give now!
Join with us as we stand For the Sake of Our Children before it's too late.
Standing (Eph. 6:13),
Tony Perkins President
