Dear Friend, This has been a long and challenging year on so many fronts. But when I look back, my overwhelming take-away is a sense of gratitude for you and your faithfulness. The Apostle Paul said it best when he wrote: "I thank my God every time I remember you" (Philippians 1:3, NIV). You've fought the good fight alongside FRC -- and now we fight on. Will you help FRC continue to advance what is good and true? It's more important than ever in these uncertain times. This fall, the Left and mainstream media were eager to declare that conservative principles -- the biblical values you and I hold dear -- were outdated and obsolete. The headlines were relentless. "Democrats Have 83.5 percent Chance of Taking Senate As Forecasts Suggest Clean Sweep" proclaimed Newsweek on October 13. But at the end of the day, this election was anything but a "clean sweep" for liberals. Two U.S. Senate races in Georgia are still outstanding, to be decided in a January run-off election. A record-setting number of pro-life congresswomen will be part of the U.S. House starting in January. Overall, social conservatives standing for life and liberty held their ground and even gained some ground. In all the drama and debate over the presidential election, conservative victories have gone largely unreported. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and her fellow liberals hold on to a razor-thin House majority -- and are fiercely divided among themselves. While threats to our shared values of life and liberty will surely come in the months ahead... FRC will be ready to sound the alarm! By providing research grounded in biblical values, FRC plays a vital role in bolstering conservative principles in Congress and across the nation at the state and local level. As you may have heard, tomorrow is #GivingTuesday -- an international day of giving to nonprofit causes. But you don't have to wait to invest in furthering the pro-faith, pro-family, and pro-freedom values you and I share. We are kicking off #GivingTuesday early with a $100,000 challenge match... Every dollar you give will be combined with the challenge funds to have twice the impact! DOUBLE MY GIFT We can rejoice that, on November 3, conservatives made significant gains in state legislatures. Even the New York Times admitted it, in a shocking Nov. 4 headline: "Democrats' 'Blue Wave' Crashed in Statehouses Across the Country." It must have hurt to have to print that! Despite liberals pouring $88 million into flipping statehouses, not a single one went their way -- in fact, New Hampshire changed over to the conservative side. What does this mean practically? Consider that more than 400 pro-life state laws have been enacted since 2010. Since abortion was legalized, that represents half of all such measures to halt the taking of lives in the womb. Today, abortions in the U.S. are at historic lows. But we're not stopping there. Now is the time to make good on a conservative promise: to defund Planned Parenthood, state by state. Our legislative team has already worked on specific language that can stop taxpayer dollars from becoming entangled with abortion businesses. It can happen at the state level! Can you help FRC jumpstart this initiative? DOUBLE MY GIFT If you act before midnight Tuesday, your gift of $35, $75, $150, $250, or even $500 or more today will be doubled! Overall, conservative gains in statehouses across our land give us one key insight: when the liberal and radical values of the Left are exposed, they are rejected by Americans. Close to home, where most laws are passed and where government affects our everyday lives, Americans are choosing conservatives who reflect their values. Will you stand with us to stop our opponents from taking biblical voices like yours and FRC's out of the battle of ideas in the public square? Then please, take advantage of the special $100,000 challenge match to double the impact of your investment for faith, family, and freedom this #GivingTuesday. Whatever amount you can give will make a difference in our shared mission to defend and advance pro-life, pro-liberty values. Thank you in advance! |
