Honest Election Chronicles: WisconsinBy Newt Gingrich Despite what many in the mainstream media are reporting, there have definitely been irregularities and suspicious activities during the 2020 election. The election was so massive, and the there is so much information, I have been trying to break down the various allegations of fraud and cheating and look at them one-by-one. On this week’s episode of my Newt’s World podcast, I am focusing on Wisconsin – where President Donald Trump had been leading – until a massive number of votes for Joe Biden came in late. In this environment, many Republicans and conservatives can feel powerless, even helpless. And they have good reason to feel this way: A political and cultural machine is running roughshod over their objections. As of this writing, the race in Wisconsin between President Trump and Vice President Biden remains close. The margin was 20,508 votes – out of 3,240,738 votes cast. They are now undergoing a recount in two Wisconsin counties: Milwaukee and Dane. My guest this week understands Wisconsin politics inside and out. I talk with Andrew Hitt, the chairman of the Wisconsin Republican Party. During the episode, I have a great conversation with Hitt about the details of the Trump campaign’s request for a recount, which includes the cities of Milwaukee and Madison. As I have said many times since Election Day, the campaign is over. This has nothing to do with President Trump specifically. It has everything to do with ensuring that American elections are fair and honest. If we allow cheating now, we won’t be able to stop it in the future. |
