May the Holy Spirit raise up His Righteous ones,

To Declare Christ’s Way, His Truth and His Life;

The Father has given us the Greatest Gift

In the Lord Jesus Christ;

An Eternal Gift.

This life is temporary and transitory.

The Gift of Christ Jesus lasts Forever.

He is the Ultimate Gift.

Promises of God in Psalm 91…

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. (Psalm 91:1)

Is it any coincidence that this is the 9-1-1 verse?

“Because he loves me, says the Lord, I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.” (Psalm 91:14-16)

The truth is, this world has been a dark place to live since the first hiss of the enemy's lies.

Yet, God’s word reminds and assures us that His protection is real and that He will see us through to the end if we seek after Him and choose to walk in His ways.

Heavenly Father~ Thank you for Your Presence and thank you for Your Almighty Shadow.

Thank you that You go before us and cover us from behind.

Thank you that You are in our midst and that our future is secure in the place You're preparing for us. Your word brings such hope and comfort.

Remind us of Your strength today and may we see glimpses of Your glory and blessings along the way as we seek after You.

For victory and salvation are found in You alone.

We ask in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen.

REVELATION - THE FIFTH AND SIXTH TRUMPETS

 

Revelation 9

The Fifth angel sounded his Trumpet,

And I saw a Star that had fallen from the sky to the Earth.

THE STAR WAS GIVEN THE KEY

TO THE SHAFT OF THE ABYSS.

2 When he opened the Abyss,

Smoke rose for it like the smoke from a Gigantic Furnace.

The sun and sky were darkened by the smoke from the Abyss.

3 And out of the smoke

LOCUSTS CAME DOWN UPON THE EARTH

AND WERE GIVEN POWER

LIKE THAT OF SCORPIONS OF THE EARTH.

4 They were told not to harm the grass of the Earth

Was Two Hundred Million.

I heard their number.

17 The horses and riders

I saw in my Vision looked like this:

Their breastplates were fiery red,

Dark blue, and yellow as sulfur.

The heads of the horses resembled the heads of lions,

And out of their mouths came Fire, Smoke and Sulfur.

18 A THIRD OF MANKIND WAS KILLED

BY THE THREE PLAGUES OF FIRE SMOKE AND SULFUR

THAT CAME OUT OF THEIR MOUTHS.

19 The Power of the horses

Was in their mouths and in their tails;

For their tails were like Snakes,

Having heads with which they inflict injury.

THAT WERE NOT KILLED BY THESE PLAGUES

STILL DID NOT REPENT OF THE WORK OF THEIR HANDS;

THEY DID NOT STOP WORSHIPING DEMONS,

IDOLS THAT CANNOT SEE OR HEAR OR WALK.

21 NOR DID THEY REPENT OF THEIR MURDERS,

Almighty God brings His Retribution

On Mankind who Refuse to Love the TRUTH.

Today, the West, that was once Christian

'Woke' Culture Corrodes Today's Schools at Alarming Rate

Teaching represents one of the oldest professions and requires prolonged training and formal qualifications. 

The specific training required depends somewhat on the level of a candidate's proposed activity: elementary, secondary or college/university.

Elementary-school candidates learn the basics of several subjects and how to implant in students a love for reading, writing and math; secondary-school candidates focus on content specialization. 

College instructors often need a doctorate in a particular subject to perform their duties. 

Teachers at all levels, however, have long been expected to address students' emotional, psychological and social needs.

The profession has undergone several transformations, from individual tutoring in ancient societies to classroom instruction in the Middle Ages and the present, from single-room institutions to complex systems. 

Technology and remote learning have over the years assumed an increasingly significant role in the teaching process.

Teachers' unions have sometimes proved controversial but have over the years provided support and advice to teachers and enabled instructors to negotiate regarding contracts and labor issues. 

They continue to offer teachers certain discount-program opportunities.

The concept of 'woke culture' has over the past 20 years invaded academia and introduced discordant ideas regarding diversity and equality. 

Ariel Zeller, an online writer for the Daily Mail, contends that 'woke culture' has infected and is corroding schools. 

Teachers and the classroom environment indoctrinate rather than educate students. 

They seem to have become unusually political, changing the profession substantially. 

The spreading 'woke culture' seems often to serve as the basis of their behavior. 

Professionalism has, at times, become subservient to such controversial social issues as critical race theory, cancel culture and government mandates. 

The level of academic standards in the classroom has come into question.

The 'woke culture' introduced into the U.S. classroom a movement known as critical race theory (CRT). 

Based on the mid-1970s writings of several legal scholars, the movement proposes to examine the intersection of race and law in the U.S. and scrutinize social, cultural and legal issues as they relate to race and racism. 

CRT embraces the idea that race is not real but a means of oppressing and exploiting people of color.

CRT has prompted a major conflict between liberals and conservative educators. 

Conservatives contend the concept represents a far-left effort to replace the American conviction of individual rights with the notion of unequal rights based on identity. 

They consider the concept one of the most radical anti-American opinions ever introduced into the classroom. 

They view the use of CRT in the educational process as storytelling rather than teaching.

CRT advocates contend that white supremacy advances the interests of Caucasians at the expense of non-white individuals and that white supremacy continues to dominate the educational process. 

They propose to destroy racism in the classroom by applying their hypotheses and processes in the classroom.

'Cancel culture' represents a modern form of ostracism, a long-term dismissal from a social or professional circle. 

The reasons for cancellation vary from the expression of an objectionable opinion to unacceptable conduct. 

The effect of cancellation can last for a lifetime.

Individuals have challenged people holding opposing views and with different behavior for much of human history, but the present-day cultural and racial diversity afford increasingly greater possibilities for personal dismissal. 

Today's deeply divided and suspicious public intensifies the chances of ostracism

The group of conservative and moderate educators known as The Locke Society has declared that 'cancel culture' has its origin in the classroom. 

Sophia Solano, a graduate of American University in Washington, D.C. and author, contends that "'Cancel Culture' divides students, professors."

While education is primarily a state and local responsibility, the federal government has recently issued a mandate for schools throughout the U.S. 

The mandate pressures educational institutions to require all teachers and employees to be vaccinated against the COVID-19 Delta variant. 

Several teachers unions readily accepted the mandate, but the National Teachers Union hesitated, expressing acceptance only after much consideration. 

In September 2021, a federal judge blocked a vaccination mandate for New York City teachers. 

The vaccination mandate has created conflict among teachers and administrators.

Under unionism, teaching moved from strictly a traditional student-teacher interactive process to a relatively active political operation involving both classroom instruction and union-type activities. 

The introduction of 'woke culture' into the teaching process has moved the focus of the process even further from the traditional model.

Some educators have accepted the woke teaching model, but other educators contend that sticking to the model and the accompanying ideologies results in the perpetuation of the dogmas inherent in critical race theory, 'cancel culture' and government mandates. 

Strong differences of opinion continue and may be diluting the quality and effectiveness of the teaching profession.

John Stossel exhorts, 'Let's learn from socialism's failures'

Democrats say President Joe Biden won "a strong mandate." His government can do all sorts of good things!

I don't believe he has a mandate, but thanks to the selfishness of former President Donald Trump, Democrats control Congress, and that may give them power to shove their worst ideas down our throats. Those include:

No. 1: Hate speech laws.

No. 2: Expanding the Supreme Court.

No. 3: Gun control.

No. 4: Spending much more.

Unfortunately, they don't seem to have noticed that these "reforms" were just tried in a country near us. My new video reveals how they worked out (spoiler alert: badly).

Venezuela became progressives' "it" country when Hugo Chavez became president.

Celebrities like Danny Glover, Susan Sarandon and Michael Moore showered him with praise. Sean Penn called him "one of the most important forces we've had on this planet."

"You have to be blind to believe that," responds Andres Guilarte of The Fund for American Studies.

Guilarte is one of many Venezuelans who risked his life to protest socialist rule. When the protests failed, he came to the United States as a refugee.

Today, protest is even riskier in Venezuela, because of progressive reform No. 1: the "Law Against Hatred."

Half America's Democrats support that, says a YouGov poll.

They should rethink what they want, says Guilarte, because "the ruling party … (gets to decide) what hate speech is."

In Venezuela, critics of the government now face jail time.

No. 2: Some Democrats want to add four new justices to the Supreme Court. Sen. Ed Markey says the new justices would "restore balance" after years of Republican rule.

Chavez added justices to Venezuela's Supreme Court.

He "changed it from 20 people to 32 people," says Guilarte. After that, "the court never ruled against him." It let him shut down opposition media and confiscate 1,000 private businesses.

No. 3: American Democrats want gun control.

In Venezuela now, only the army, police and certain favored groups may have guns. That made it even easier for officials to come to people's homes and take their property.

"You're just in your shop, selling shoes," explains Guilarte. "Some government officer arrives and says, 'We're going to shut down your business.' That would be completely different if that business owner had a gun."

"But the government would just come in with bigger guns," I suggest.

"If we had a culture like you have in the U.S.," Guilarte responds, "It would have been incredibly difficult."

Venezuela's gun control didn't even reduce crime. In fact, Venezuela's murder rate rose. Venezuela now has the third-highest murder rate in the world.

"These laws never work," says Guilarte. "Citizens don't have guns. But the criminals have bigger guns!"

No. 4: The most important lesson from Venezuela is the idea that governments can fund whatever they want to do simply by printing more money.

"The federal government can never run out of money," says Modern Monetary Theory economist Stephanie Kelton. She's convinced politicians that they can spend much more without worrying about inflation.

"Well, of course, John," replies Guilarte, sarcastically. "That's how the economy works. You just print money because money comes up from trees."

Venezuela printed money and won praise from progressives by spending some on programs they said would help the poor. But the poor and the middle class were crushed by the inflation that followed: 20% ... then 100% ... 3,000% ... 40,000%! This destroyed Venezuela.

Inflation in America has risen to 5.4%. Bad, but of course, nothing close to what happened in Venezuela.

"Doesn't mean that it can't happen!" warns Guilarte.

That, unfortunately, is true.

"We were the richest economy in Latin America," he points out. "People from America came to Venezuela to build businesses."

Now the country is in shambles.

"Everything can fall to the ground really quickly," says Guilarte. "Inflation is like a cancer. You never know when it's going to hit you."

Let's learn from socialism's failures.

The idea that massive government spending and other progressive feel-good policies will help America, when these same ideas failed horribly elsewhere, is a dangerous myth.
