Law-abiding Citizens Flee New York As Anarchy Takes Over Big Apple
Gov. Andrew Cuomo and his arch-nemesis Mayor Bill de Blasio are overseeing the destruction of New York City at the hands of violent rioters who’ve destroyed landmark locations throughout the city in the name of protesting and there’s no end in sight.
Jennifer Kerns, the founder of Women for a Great America, told the “Todd Starnes Show” on Tuesday that she fled the city on Friday after—no pun intended—seeing the writing on the wall. She said her apartment is in a swanky area in the city—near the United Nations building—and she began to notice graffiti in the area that was not there before and strangers who appeared to be eyeing residents in her building.
The Oklahoma-native told her parents at one point that she felt like she was ‘being hunted.” So she packed as much of her life she could fit in two bags and left the city, which was then engulfed in raging looters.
Kerns blamed several factors for the looting throughout the city, but said the leadership from de Blasio and Cuomo has only made the city more vulnerable.
Protests erupted across the country after the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis police custody. President Trump blasted governors in a phone call over their soft approach in dealing with the protests, and it appears Democrats are also beginning to point fingers at each other over the chaos.

Cuomo bluntly said Tuesday that “the NYPD and the mayor did not do their job last night. It was rampant looting across the city last night that they did not stop.”
Cuomo warned de Blasio that Albany may have to take control with the National Guard.
The New York Post interviewed NYPD Chief Terence Monahan who said police have been “giving their blood” as they’ve tried to calm protests in the city.
“Our guys are tired, they’re bleeding,” Monahan said. “I think everyone you’re going to see is walking around cut up. But they’re out there again tonight. They’re out there giving their blood to keep this city safe.”
He blasted new bail-reform laws in the city which essentially means that looters arrested last night can be back out tonight.
“This leadership team from every angle of this department is out on the streets, working side by side with their men, and for a governor to be sitting in his office saying that we’re not doing a good job — I’m outraged,” he said.
Kerns told Starnes that there’s one problem if Cuomo takes over: “He might not be any better.”
She told Todd Starnes, the host of the radio show, about a recent tussle between a person and a looter and how a 911 operator said that police were too extended to respond. The operator simply said, “Do what you need to do,” which is inherently a problem in a city with some of the toughest gun laws in the nation.
