In Jesus’ Name
Toni M. Babcock
Oft times the question is asked, “Why am I here?”, or “What is the meaning of life?”, or “What is God’s will for my life?”
If I were to answer in the least amount of words I’d reply without hesitation, “Jesus.”
We are here because of Jesus, our lives were meant to be for Jesus, and God’s will for us is Jesus - to live in Him, to die in Him, and to serve in Jesus’ name.
Explaining the all-encompassing claim of Jesus on our lives need not be complicated. Some of the best witnessing for Christ is done with the least amount of words. Trust the Holy Spirit to guide you as a witness.
Opposition toward Jesus will increase as the age draws near. Jesus taught his disciples,
“Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves” (Matthew 10:16 KJV).
“But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak; for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. For it is not you that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.” (Matthew 10:20 KJV)
God the Father wants to use every single word as we share His Word. He promises,
“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:11 KJV)
May God help us speak His Word, however we can, wherever we may be, in Jesus Name.
